WudInstaller has filled my 128gb usb key of games, and i have a 64gb thats empty.
But in the options i dont see anything about choosing a different hdd, so is it possible to fill the 64gb with the 128gb still in the console?

u can fill it up with games, but u can't use both simultaneously. 2 hdds at once tells the system ur going to transfer games (i.e. upgrading to a larger hard drive).

u may have to use a y cable. I'm using one with a 2TB hdd. overkill, but it works. I've had no disconnects or anything, and I play the system daily.

What does the connector look like? Take a picture of it.
The Y cable is needed to give the drive additional power as the Wii U doesn't provide enough power for USB HDDs.

there are (afaik) 3 types of USB 3 connectors. one same as regular USB, one like yours and one bigger similar to USB cables that printers use. All that I saw had a blue colored part.

It not a rectangular hole, ils a slim like two paper sheet hole with a split in the middle
Then this kind of cable would be perfect for your HDD: https://www.amazon.ca/eForCity-Micr...&qid=1492542610&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+3+y+cable

the wii u has four usb ports. plug both in the front or the back. mine r plugged into the front since the back is for my virtual wii. I have a powered usb hdd for the virtual wii, but the wii u hdd is using a y cable attached to an extension usb cable attached to a usb 3.0 cable. my hdd is on the other side of my entertainment center from the wii u, but it works flawlessly. it's a wd elements hdd (one of the newer 3.0 ones). :)
