3DSBG (3DS Background Tool)
is a small ~and shitty~ application to turn a single image into 2 seperate images for you to use in Usagi or Yata+ (and all the other 3ds theme creators)

This might come in handy for people that are either too lazy or don't have working tools like Photoshop.

I merely made this because i've seen a lot of themes on 3DSThem that were badly stretched, cropped and/or cut. (+ i was drunk)

On the 3DS: (No i don't play Spongebob, that's my flashcard)

How to use it:

Open the application and click on "Load Image"
choose any image you want and it will load into the tool.

Use the left mouse button to drag the image and use the arrow keys to resize it (the latter will be changed soon, as it's really slow and painful :P)

When you think it looks fine, click on "Save" to save both, top and bottom image.

Click on "Delete" to remove the loaded image from the tool.

Use the 2 generated images in whatever tool you use and you should see a pretty good result on your 3DS ^^

Oh and before you ask, the very last row of pixels of the image will be stretched in order to prevent black bars while having 3D on.

i redownloaded that image and the new one is able to load but not the old one

Maybe something went wrong the first time you downloaded the image? I dunno.
I tested a 1920x1080 picture and it loaded just fine.

Sorry for off topic, but what's in the N64 folder? Did someone release an emulator I didn't hear about?

I have a copy of this software on my old computer, but I have it lent to my brother.
If nobody does the reupload I would do it but I do not know if it will be this week.
And I do not know if my copy is updated.
This program is just life

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, my PC can't run most AAA games so i wont

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
