I don't know what this thread is supposed to achieve. Everyone is free to share their own ideas, but without any sort of technical knowledge it's just wishful thinking. Yes, there could be less expensive and more convenient hacking methods, but they don't exist right now.

lmao every single time some random kid makes a "Eureka! I found an exploit" post you guys roast him hard.

Anyway what I'm wondering is if it's possible to reverse engineer hwfly's FPGA firmware and build an open source hardware project with it? iirc they did nothing but managed to grab team xecuter's code.

tHe sYsTeM iS pAtChEd - FUCK OFF. All of the consoles were hacked eventually. Wii? DS? DSi? 3DS? Wii U?

These were all hacked. All of them, through a softmod (except with the DS which just requires a flashcard and no fucking up with the hardware).

This should be the case with the switch. Either through a softmod or something simple like a flashcard or a device that can easily be connected to it.

Dude you are pathetic, either get an unpatched unit or get patched/v2/oled with SX Core/HWFLY. You complaining here ain't going to do anything. You already had one thread closed because of this topic, want another one 🤔?

So, you've all been yelling on me that "sOfTmOd iS iMpOsSiBlE", but there could be less expensive and easier to do hardmods. For example, have you looked into the joycon pins? These are one of the only exposed contacts. These can flash firmware to joycons, why hasn't anyone looked into these?

Less expensive hard mod would be unpatched with trinket m0., that is cheaper than patched/mariko/aura with modchip.

so how many more of these asinine demanding posts are you going to make? I mean if its so simple why haven't you done it? or are others meant to be at your beck and call? if you don't know how then what makes you qualified to tell people how easy it is? on top of that it really doesn't help your case showing how narcissistic and insecure you are.

Oh look it's that time of the month again I see *sigh*

When you ask to hack your Switch, we present to you the options available. Why are these the only options available? Because that is the limit of our knowledge at this point in time and with what we do know right now, barring something new being discovered, there isn't an alternative.

The same can be said for almost anything. Why can't we cure cancer better/faster/safer? Why can't I teleport or time travel? Why do I still have to fly on a plane? Is there a universe/timeline where those things are possible? Who knows? Objectively, I cannot tell you it is impossible. But in terms of PROBABILITY, it is so low, it may as well be zero. And you certainly don't see me kicking up a fuss about it.

Now onto your points about the joycon pins. I have to admit it is a step up from your previous posts albeit not much but I digress. Many people in the past have made this mistake. Have you looked at X? Why don't you look at Y? To make a good suggestion, you need to able to show that there is merit in looking into it, that there is something to learn other than the fact that it is a dead end. Otherwise, it is no different from me telling cancer researchers to look into cyanide as a cure. I mean, sure it kills a whole lot of things. And cancer cells are a bunch of things. Not exactly a hill I want to die on though

We don't dictate what options are available. We are not out here having a giggle while hiding a better option just for kicks. There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

Oh and protip: You are not in any position to demand for anything.

You know what is available. Take it or leave it. Welcome to the real world.

It's like the fourth thread he whines about no software method magically appeared for the Switch of late

The problem is the FPGA code can't be dumped (it's designed to not be dumpable, and nobody has found an exploit to do so anyway). The firmware for the other processor on the board has been dumped, reverse engineered, reimplemented, improved etc, but no luck with the FPGA. Someone would have to reimplement it from scratch, or buy it from whoever was selling TX's design.

this has been done by several. but none of them will publish the FPGA code. i think you know why.

I'm sure glad this wasn't about finding a software explot for the XOne, the guy would have been in agony by now...

In all seriousness, I think it's a fair assumption to think that what we have on hand is the best way we have for now. Why would there just be a random "better" way out there, dumb enough for just anyone to find out, assuming there was near 0 research done? And honestly, what we do have is really not bad already lol

I wonder if there is a way to automatically remove posts like this kinda like Automod on Reddit can?

The forum would probably be less bloated if "what about? Hack found!" posts were just removed immediately after hitting the post button.

It always ends up happening the same way anyway. Some child or Rick and Morty fanboy (who thinks they have 10000000 IQ) posts some some exploit idea that has either been tried already, something they thought was an exploit because a obscure game crashed, or that just wont work because of how tight Ninty is keeping the security. Then when someone points out why it wont work, OP gets angry and insults people because "HOW DARE YOU TELL ME IM NOT A GOD MIND GENIUS" or something along those lines.

Like sure roasting people who think too highly of themselves, or are just angry that mommy and daddy wont let them risk a $300 console to download free games is fun...but the fact that it happens over and over as frequently as it does is kind of getting old.

Okey, do you want a cookie or something?
I mean, you still provided Nintendo cash by buying the 3DS. They don't really care if you pirate on it if it's obsolete.
And who says that I purchased the 3DS from Nintendo?

I needed to purchase it from a random seller because Nintendo doesn't even sell it anymore. But they thankfully threw in a flashcard with some pirated games on it, and club nintendo codes that are absolutely useless now.

It's not as if people aren't trying to find new exploits. Just this sort of stuff takes time and and a whole lot of luck to find an entry point.

Here are a few lists of known exploits/vulnerabilities:
System
Userland
Fully working exploits for CFW/homebrew

While there is a lot, not all of them are useful for CFW/homebrew. This is what I mean by it taking a lot of luck. Even if you find something, it might not be useful for your goals, which is running unsigned code.

xenforo doesn’t really have a great method for an auto mod. The best method that I’m aware of is to make new threads in a specific section(s) go to the mod queue first and someone from the mod team will need to manually review and approve the posts before they go public

For obvious reasons this isn’t really a great method

I think more the Nintendo Ninja's
its rather logical to believe there are some people who have worked hard to find exploits for themselves that they will never release to avoid them being patched and really you can't blame them either. history shows that even if they release things like that to a small private group the stuff still gets leaked by some idiot who ruins it for everybody.
