i started to replay it and holy heck you can't rotate the camera with the right stick you have to press a button to get it behind you.

The EDF games are probably the most fun jank I own. I've never seen a game with worse helicopter controls, or worse vehicle controls as a whole for that matter. It's still brilliant though, especially when played coop.

It is amusing you're struggling with non-rotating cameras though, it almost feels nostalgic to me having grown up with Ocarina of Time and later sinking a bunch of time into Skyward Sword.

That's a really good question. The original Kirby's Adventure comes to mind. It struggled a bit on the NES hardware, so there's some slowdown and input delay. Really fun game, though. I hear the 3DS version corrects that, which intrigues me.

EDIT: You know, the original Silent Hill may qualify. It's a well-made game, but I think there's a bit of input delay. It's been a while since I've done a playthrough, but it is still among my personal favorites.

Hokuto no Ken: Shinpan no Sōsōsei Kengō Retsuden. It's filled with details and references to the series. It's very fun to play casually but competitively the game is as accurate as it can be: One hit and you're already dead. It's filled with crazy infinites and "Basketball" combos which involve your opponent literally getting dribbled because of a weird glitch.
