nintendont is for gamecube games, not wii. For Wii games, its literally the same as using legit copies from the eshop (if one exists). The only difference is you can force gamepad support for games that may not normally support it, or change the icon and title of the game.

Okay, thankyou, I have one other question , would I be able to just take isos for wii games and put them on the install folder without usb helper? Because seems wii u usb helper does not have all the ones I want. Thanks in advance.

not really. you would use the program that this thread started with ( i tried to post a link but i guess i cant since im new. just go to page 1 of this thread)
this works for wii and gamecube games. so far, except for the trouble im personally having, it works fantastic and is the best way to play wii and gc games on wiiu

Has there ever been a fix for Radiant Dawn's gamepad classic controller emulation? I'm getting error 160-0791

Edit: USA version, which the compatibility list lists as working

I've injected both the EUR/PAL and USA versions, both versions working with GamePad, are you using the FORCE CC option with the script?

The error your getting, is that before the game boots? or after?

Your ISO file could be a bad dump? Try finding another ISO and check the CRC/MD5/etc.. info listed HERE at GameTDB to make sure you have a good dump of the game..

Has anyone identified a way to launch a WiiVC inject without using a Gamepad or Remote yet? I very rarely use either of them and keep them safely stashed away where animals and small children can't get to them, and exclusively use my Pro Controller. Without pointing a Wii Remote at the screen or using the Gamepad, I can't boot into the game. For non-VC games the meta.xml can be edited to disable a drc-check, but this is an entirely different check. Is there a way to disable this so that GC injects can be played without using a Remote or Gamepad to boot?

It looked like I did have a bad dump, but even after I found one with the right checksums, I still get the error. Upon launch, the banner launch screen shows up, but the system goes to a black screen with an error code before even showing the Wii logo

Is this the only game your having issues with?

Do you have anything else besides your ext usb HDD connected to your WiiU? Im assuming your using a ext usb hdd. If so disconnext the other usb devices and try booting the game again.

As a test, you could try installing the game on your internal system memory and test?
If your going to do this make sure you ext usb hdd is unplugged before launching the game.

What game description are you giving this game?

Is it safe to install these on the Nand?
Is it safe to move an Inject from HDD to Nand?

I don't know what your question is.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Nevermind I figured it out by reading a page back. Unfortunately I don't know the answer. I doubt many will have a solution to be honest. Is there not another computer you could do it on?

Some say it's not safe and some say it is safe, for me, I do a lot of injects and have tested 50% of my injects on NAND.
Installing/moving games to NAND, there is always a risk, but with over 2,500 injects up my sleeves, half of them are tested by installing the game to NAND instead of my ext USB HDD.
Did not have have a single problem, just because I have not had any issues, doesn't mean you will too, if you have a corrupt install because of the files or your SD CARD is bad, during the install process if if freezes and you force a shutdown of your WiiU, then you could/might brick your WiiU. With everything hacking related, use at your own risk.

The dev has abandoned this app and even the dev says this was an horrible app and that people are still using it, I have included his post below, which can be seen HERE.

Hi all, very surprised to see people are still using this horrible tool after all this time. If it hasn't been painfully obvious, I essentially abandoned this project for some time. All the attempted work I put into this was just because there wasn't an existing tool for Wii / GC injects, and I'm very surprised no one has come along and written a better tool. Probably because interest in the Wii U has been so low no one has really cared to.

To clarify a few things:
  1. I will be posting the terrible source code in the OP soon, maybe someone will be motivated enough to run with it
  2. I am not a programmer by any stretch, kinda the main reason this program sucks so much
  3. There have been a plethora of GameCube issues with blackscreen crashing, maybe @FIX94 and I can work on that (Edit: Yo also maybe @ploggy can weigh in). For titles that generate successfully, the nintendont forwarder always loads, but the forwarder very often fails to load nintendont and leaves no logs behind. For example if you leave the SD card out of the system or don't have a config file, you'll see the error messages stating as such every single time, but once you put the SD card in the system it will often fail to load nintendont.
The only reason I'm revisiting this at all is because I got a new Wii U and was re-generating all my titles, all my Wii titles generated without issue but had a hard time loading GameCube titles.

Anyways, have fun continuing to discuss whatever it is you're discussing.

Thanks for the input. The reason I ask is because I am trying to inject Rockband 3. The title loads fine and I can use wiimote guitar fine. The problem is the USB devices, Mic, guitar, drums, are not recognized. I thought maybe loading it to Nand would help solve this issue.

Someone correct me wrong here, but I'm pretty sure any USB connected devices will not work with Wii injects, haven't tried but I'm not sure if USB devices work in vWii mode using either original Wii game discs or USB Loader GX?
I did have a Band Hero USB Mic but can't find it to test.

Everything works in VWii using Wiiflow Lite. Just can't get it to work with injects. You are probably right and they are not supported for some reason.

Hi guys, i have a question or two...

So i installed some games and they work fine!
They all use the same rhytm heaven key.
But let's say i want to install a game that uses another key, it still says rhythm heaven in the script and it's green, but the game doesn't boot when i build the wup.
How can i change keys?

Oh and also, some people have reported that games like warioware and skyward sword work, but on the compatibility site i can't find those games, do i just use random keys untill i find the right one?

Thanks!

If I have physical WIi and Gamecube games I would like to run through this software, what would be the best way to do that via an external DVD drive. Also what DVD drive would the recommend?

Hi all, I'm trying the script out to inject some Wii Mario games for my kids and it keeps erroring about half way through and says 'Could not find directory 'Rhythm Heaven Fever [VAKE01]' <-- Does that mean I need to find that game some place too? Thanks!

Edit: Turns out it had a hard time downloading what it needed. After I disabled my internet filter it went through fine
