Are you guys going to release individual chapters? Not trying to sound impatient, i'm very glad you're even doing this. But just playing the first chapter would be incredibly exciting.

Seems like there's nothing actually made, but they are starting to get a team. (OR at least nothing has been announced to be made, EG they are probably getting the systems for modding it down rather than doing the translating) But don't quote me on it, just so far nobody's said 'hey i translated 10% of chapter 1' or anything like that.

Hey, I just wanted to drop by here and say I'd be very willing to help with this project, even more so from a standpoint of localization. I have several friends fluent in Japanese and they would be delighted to assist. I'm also rather good at programming, so if anyone could provide me with the stuff to translate, I'd probably get some progress on my own rather than constantly relaying messages through this board. I'm already coming up with localized names and storylines on my own, so if I can help in any way, that would be awesome.
In fact, I made this account just to talk on this very thread.

Some clarification: The team who "HAVE MERGED WITH THE FE:FATES TRANSLATION TEAM" is not our team. We are still working hard on a not pointlessly over localized translation.

Define "pointlessly overlocalized."

They're working on a translation, not a localization. So "pointlessly overlocalized" here basically means anything more than "translated".

This is a lot less work and should in theory get a playable game to people sooner and on top of that it could easily serve as the basis for a localization.

That said, if the localization team "from the other thread" (the one you just got in contact with) is significantly larger they may get results more quickly and may make any work done by this team obsolete. I have know idea which of the two is more likely, though.

I should say I think dismissing efforts to localize rather than flat-out translate as "pointless" is... questionable (and probably not what Pottty meant to do)

I applaud the efforts of both teams and look forward to any and all results.

We currently have 19 people on our team with which are very diligent workers. Our plan is to do this translation/localization just as capcom would. So will it take long yes. However with that said you can expect the product to be extremely well done. We might also add a few bonus features.
