Minor issues. Lucas, nothing to complain about, didn't really appreciate his usefulness in Brawl, always favoring Ness. Lucas wins in the down and up smashing department. I still go for Ness first. Roy is great, but I remember in Melee that when you just smash, he swings his sword, keep pressing and it keeps going. Instead here, it's one swing that stops. Everything else feels the same as Melee, which is great.
Ryu though, I'm trying to stay positive, as the one issue I have is he's clunky. I try to stay on the good side by putting him over Ganondorf and slower characters. Does he have custom moves that include a charging Hadouken? His standard one isn't too powerful. Moreso than Fox's laser, but the guy can shoot it continuously. All his smash and special smash moves are sweet, but his movement, kind of clunky, that's the problem. Did he move like he did in SF4? Basically he's like Little Mac in terms of defense and recovery, but Mac has speed. I'll play him on solo, but I don't think I can succeed with Ryu in online play.
The biggest positive out of Ryu that I had, before he was even announced, was that Nintendo would hopefully finally have a port of Street Fighter (3DS doesn't count). V is coming in 2016, so that game, supported with the Wii U Pro, that'd be awesome.
