Has anyone managed to get into the Eshop and download anything yet? I myself managed to get on the Eshop once but i couldnt download anything before getting booted

the 3ds eshop was very slow loading for mr but i did get the 1.08 update

there is also a $0.99 app in the 3ds eshop called Smash controller, that app should let you use your 3ds as a controller for wiiU smash (it the same thing you can do in you have the 3ds game, it just now has a stand only app)

You can use the Nintendo 3DS family of systems as controllers as long as you have a Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS game for each system.
If you don't have the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS software, you can purchase and download the Smash Controller software for Nintendo 3DS beginning 6/14/15 (eShop price: $0.99).

Damn man, for the first time in months, I had to spend my money. The money saved for PC parts, money saved since the beginning of the year really. At first for 2 N3DS XLs, but the leftover money made me set out in February for a new PC, then something more expensive, and now just PC parts. Withdrawing $10, looking at my total savings, 10 bucks less, made me wince a bit. And it takes 2 business days for the transfer of my money into the credit cart, so I can't buy all the parts at once. Not buying the Mii Fighter costumes, maybe down the road. I have enough in the eshop balance for Ryu (all SSB DLC is for Wii U and 3DS, despite never playing more than 2 minutes on the latter version. You never know...), and I didn't even know about the Dream Land stage. Damn, I say again. Taking my money, but it says a lot that I instantly put money down when I'm so stingy on my savings.

Wave 2 Bundle cost $30/equivalent currency. For one system only, it's like $20 I think. Wii U eshop is jammed but manged to update Wii U game and to get in the 3DS eshop to get Roy. Say what you will, but I prefer Roy to Marth.

I am dissapointed with Ryu's implementation... It seems to me that instead of adapting Ryu to the game, they adapted the game to Ryu.

The holding down the attack button to mimick the weak, medium and strong punches + the specific buttons combinations means he will be one of the most complex characters to use effectively. The specific buttons combinations wouldn't be a problem, weren't the fact that they behave differently than their special attacks counterpart. Meaning an optimal Ryu player, must know Ryu's specific combinations additionaly to the regular attacks.

I sure hope this doesn't become a trend with other DLC characters or characters from a future smash

What did I tell ya? If you call'em, they will come. At least Luigi has his own moveset, clone characters like Lucas, Roy or Falco just have adjusted timing, it's always been like this. It's only marginally better than just a palette swap, but oh well.

Falco is VERY different from Fox in Sm4sh. Roy is different from Marth, and not just the way he looks. Falco was a clone in Melee, but no longer. And hopefully the same fate has fallen upon Roy. Lucas is, well, just look at him. He's always been different from Ness, and now even more so.

Funny seeing simultaneous comments complaining about smash characters lacking variety AND characters that are to different from what has been done.

Uhm, I'm sorry for mocking glorified reskins? You guys suit yourselves, all I'm saying is that all the characters offered except for Ryu are just clones and that's not an outrageous statement, it's a well-accepted fact within the Smash community itself. A difference of a couple miliseconds in execution of a move does not a new character make and IMO the first two should be free DLC, but you do whatever you want with your money.

For the record, "getting a rise" out of Smashers is one of my favourite pass time activities, actually - there are few communities that suffer from this much toxicity and vitriol, how can one not be tempted to tease'em a little bit and enjoy the show?
