The launch lineup is my biggest worry, not very interesting, there is nothing in that lineup I want at all, so I'll have the 3DS 2-3 days after the JP launch but no games until probably April or May since all the good games are in the Spring lineup and beyond.

Doesn't seem like good 'marketing' to me, limiting stock only serves to STOP people from buying.
If I have spare money and want to buy something and nowhere has it, I buy something different.

When I can pre-order it in the Netherlands, I will do it right away!
And importing has no point:
1. If you import from Japan, the 3DS is in Japanese
2. The 3DS is region locked

I have every intention of getting the 3DS on launch day, assuming I have enough money and there are launch games worth my attention. Of course we won't know either until the 19th. The problem is that since my local store doesn't even know when the damn thing's coming, they won't take pre-orders. Of course if I ask nicely they'll set me one aside whether I have an official pre-order or not, they know they'll get money out of me 'cause I've spent about the same as the military budget of North America for about twelve years in there. They always do favours for me, their most valued customer. They're always giving me free stuff, holding on to rare games that are traded in, giving me staff discounts, etc. I love that place. They'll have my 3DS for me. No worries.
Of course if the launch titles are absolute arse, they can keep the damn thing until it proves worthy of my hard earned cash. To me a system becomes a truly essential purchase when I can name at least half a dozen games I simply can't wait to play. Right now the 3DS has those 6, but no word on whether or not any of them will be around for a while.

Actually he is correct. Why purposely limit it to 4 million when the reason they delayed it was because of so much hype and demand at E3 2010?SPH73 said:

4 million 3DS's are produced for Europe and the US, that's a huge amount. They are trying to create enough 3DS's so no one will have to wait to buy one. It's not a marketing strategy, they are already producing an awfull lot of them.Rock Raiyu said:
