Can it be done?? I am wondering cause i really wanna play the og game with the original dialogue not the updated one, since i never could play the gamecube version at all growing up and yes i know about emulators but i want to play the switch remaster version but ya know og dialogue.

If someone can T-T it would be nice.

unfortunately they have been taken down, i apologize for responding late i was trying to see if the person who posted up the project ro restore the dialogue was gonna go through with it unfortunately they're not gonna do it from the looks of it.

i have tried contacting them but the progression has been stuck at 75-79% without no new update since the last one. i have no idea what is going on.
so if you or anybody knows if someone is actually doing this or already did it fully on a website i would like to know please. i just wanna play this game.

From what I can tell comparing the modern release to the original Japanese. The new translation of the script is significantly more accurate to the original Japanese one.

Afraid not as I'm playing in french so almost none of that stuff matters to me

why not just play it as it is? i'd argue the game is better than the OG in every way (yes 30fps is better imo due to easier supergaurds), dreadful backtracking was fixed, i could go on, but if this is truly a deal breaker for you just play the OG as @NyaakoXD stated you really aren't missing out on much other than what's already been said, as there's two minor cases in which dialouge was altered as far as i'm aware.

And from what I can tell with these 2 bits of dialogue it they werent in the original Japanese release at all.

If your issue is that you didn’t play the original so you want this to be the original then I’m sorry but it’s not the original.

If you want to play the original release you need to play the GameCube release. Changing things about this one doesn’t make it original and isn’t going to satisfy whatever need you think you have.

Not sure how far along it is since I haven't played it yet, uploader claims 75% complete. Unfortunately it's been 2 weeks since it was updated so I have no idea if he's still working on it. While you're at it you can also download framerate fixes, fixes for the framerate fixes as well as enhancements for emulator if you want an objectively better rather than debatably better version of the remake.

Reminds me of FF6 fan translations vs OG Ted Woolsey version. Sure it sticks closer to the original Japanese version and removes some plot holes and mistranslations, but it has less character and charm.

    Finally got an appointment with an ENT, but it's not for another month. It's already been 4- days of loud ringing in my left ear, substantial pain on left side of my neck and left side on the back of my head. Doctors here at the regular clinic put me on a couple different meds for a month that did absolutely nothing, then they told me there's nothing more they can do for me despite being in pain and my ear sounding like im underwater and ringing.
