ROM Hack Baten Kaitos HD Remaster - Dub Restore Effort

okay i managed to dump it succesfull this time. i copied the romsf folder into the mod folder, but I still get JPN voice language. what could be wrong? I am using mods for etc zelda no problem.

I have the Japanese version too, are you using the mods on an emulator or an actual Switch?

I'm not familiar with how mods works on emulators, i use Switch with the custom firmware Atmosphere

And the path i use is this:

SD card > atmosphere > contents > 0100F28018CA4001 ( and 4002 for Origins ) > romfs > Data > aa , Switch

I just launch the game after injecting Atmosphere and it works no prob

Is your path the same?

Now, how would I make it work in Yuzu if possible? Seems like the game v1_0_3 is not working/loading for me, only 1_0_0 loads for me in Yuzu. How, what and where should I save your files to get English voices? Thanks again.

In Yuzu, if you right click on the game you should see an option called "Open mods folder"

The folder that opens should be in C:\Users\-YOURUSERNAME-\AppData\Roaming\yuzu\load\0100F28018CA4000 ( or 0100C07018CA6000 )

Which version of the game are you sing? Japanese or American / European?
If you are using the Japanese version you must go here:

C:\Users\-YOURUSERNAME-\AppData\Roaming\yuzu\load

And create 2 folders, one called 0100F28018CA4001 and the other called 0100F28018CA4002

Open the folder 0100F28018CA4001 and create another folder called Baten1engdubmod

Then go take the baten kaitos 1 romfs folder from my upload, which is in atmosphere>contents>0100F28018CA4001, and put it inside the Baten1engdubmod you created

Now open the folder 0100F28018CA4002 and create another folder called BatenOriginsengdubmod

Then go take the baten kaitos Origins romfs folder from my upload, which is in atmosphere>contents>0100F28018CA4002, and put it inside the BatenOriginsengdubmod you created

If you are using the American/European version instead, create folders 0100C07018CA6001 for Baten Kaitos 1 and 0100C07018CA6002 for Baten Kaitos Origins

Either not enough free memory (RAM) or - more likely - a Java problem. Make sure you are using a 64-bit version and update to the most recent version if you're using an older version. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

You sure you're using version 1.0 of the dub patch? The error you describe was in version 0.9beta, but should have been fixed with version 1.0 of the dub patch.

Thanks, man. I actually figured out it was a case of using the default 32 bit Java vs. 64, essentially just as you said . Appreciate the reply. Everything is running beautifully now.

I suppose changing the language and memoryholing the change is an excellent way to pretend that misogyny exists. A cunning deception, really.

At least there's something good to come off of the back of endless CURRENT DAYING of history's works - more people are learning about Baten Kaitos. Sadly, downloading this lovely project would require me buying (or pirating, but then just pirate the originals) the PoS remaster and encouraging this sort of behaviour from the gatekeeping tourists who infest our hobby.

No, there are no further updates planned.

Use a 64-bit version of Java, that should fix the error. Sorry for the inconvenience.
