The file needs to be named "ninraw.bin" for NTSC-U/ PAL saves or "ninrawj.bin" for Japan saves and located in the "saves" folder on the root of the device that holds the ISOs. Then in Nintendont settings set the emuMC to "Multi".
The "saves" folder currently holds all saves by their code name [+.raw]
Giving them them all same name would not work. So do I put them in individual folders? (And if so: Do the folders need to have specific names?)

You cannot use folders for saves. By setting the MCemu to "Multi" it will treat the ninraw.bin where all games that use multi will put theirs saves inside.

EDIT: ninraw.bin might go on the root of the device and not in the saves folder. I don't remember now.

Updated Nintendont. Two Towers still hangs on black screen after showing "Loading".

What's going on?

Loaded using WiiFlow, formed a new memory card, seems grouped memory cards caused it to crash.

Sorry, I don´t understand: Giving files the same name does not work in Windows. I would have to rename it to "ninraw.bin (1)", "ninraw.bin (2)" etc.
What exactly are you trying to do? The MCemu has 2 settings: single and multi. Single uses the unique game name for the memory card. Multi makes each game use the same memory card named either ninraw.bin for NTSC-U/PAL save or nineawj.bin for Japanese games.

MCemu = GCMM, right?
The settings for GCMM are "backup, restore, delete, raw backup, raw resotre, format MC"

I have done a raw backup on my device (which holds the ISOs; thank you for the info) and now want to use these files with Nintendont.
In order to do that, you said I need to rename them. But I have many save files - each with their own code name.
Maybe I have to change the block size in Nintendont? (Standard is 251; my real MM is 1024).

BTW I`m using Nintendont independent of GX loader.
Thank you for your patience. I´m just confused.

MCemu is a setting in Nintendont. Memory Card Emulation.

You rename the memory card backup as "ninraw.bin" for memory cards that have USA/PAL saves and "ninrawj.bin" for Japanese saves. I don't remember if it goes in the root folder of where the ISOs are stored or the saves folder.

I'm not familiar with GX Loader so I can't help you there. Look for a memory card emulation setting that sets the emulated memory card to "MULTI".

Are you trying to put the individual game saves into the memory card backup?

I can check whether it goes in the root folder or not.
As I said, I am not using the GX Loader for GC games.
Thank you for telling me what you mean by "MCemu". I have changed it to "Multi" and MemCard Emulation is turned on as always.

I think I have found the problem. I mistook several save games I had (that Nintendont created for me digitally when playing GC games previously) for the actual backup (which can be found in the folder MCBACKUP) which is indeed just one file. Very sorry for that. :/

I will soon test where it has to go (root or not) and post it here for those who might be interested.

So I've had an issue trying to play Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, I've just been trying to make a full GameCube library and testing every game.

Problem is, it hangs on a black screen after saying "Loading".

I tested the checksums, they match.

I ran it on dolphin, it ran fine.

My Nintendont version is the latest I believe. 5.486 (December 18th, 2018) Firmware 58.24.32

I also checked the compatibility list and noted to keep both Widescreen and progressive off. When doing this, I still got the hanging black screen. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My Wii is 4.3U with all required cIOS's. What do I do now?
take a picture of your nintendont settings.

probably created a bad raw file? see your saves folder for a 0kb file and if there is any just delete it, sometimes when creating memory cards nintendont fails to create when the device takes abit longer than nintendont expects and a bad raw file crashes any game.

You rename the memory card backup as "ninraw.bin" for memory cards that have USA/PAL saves and "ninrawj.bin" for Japanese saves.

I had to figure out how to allow Windows to change file extensions in Chinese. Sorry for the late response. I changed the backup by calling it "ninraw.bin" (all my saves are PAL or USA), i.e. the extension (file type) is ".bin" (it used to be ".raw").
Unfortuntately no luck. Neither if it is located in the "saves" folder nor the "games" folder. I will try to figure it out though. Maybe MemCard Emulation has to be deactivated or the MemSize adjusted in Nintendont or something.

I would rather not upload it as I don´t remember whether there is personal information (of me or family members) on it. Anyway I changed the save file "ninraw.bin.raw" into "ninraw.bin" and placed it in the "saves" folder. It didn´t work. Then I placed it in the same folder as the ISOs. It didn´t work. I will try other places and methods. Thanks for your offer though.

It doesn't go in the same folder as the ISOs. It goes in either the root folder of the device holding the ISOs or the saves folder on the device where the ISOs are stored.

it goes inside the saves folder alongside the individual saves. Also not sure why you keep saying to the poor guy its .bin lol when memory cards are all .raw the only bin files are ipls and triforce saves not to mention your giving him the wrong name ro rename to lol.

the reason it doesnt work its becuase you are naming it wrong...

it goes in the saves folder and needs to be called ninmem.raw

it must be a raw file, raw being the extension and not bin, there is no bin involved, not sure if you extracted your memory card image correctly or not since you are afraid to upload it, also to make nintendont see it, first you need to press b when seeing nintendont menu and turn mcemu to on, multi set to on on and the block size matching its actual size then press b again and launch a game without exiting nintendont, since nintendont only saves settings if you launch a game without exiting..Also the saves folder needs to be on the same device where the isos are if your iso files are on usb then you need a saves folder on usb and inside that is where you put the raw file.

Doesnt matter if nintendont or anything is on sd, the saves folder must be on the same device the isos are.

No worries, no harm done.
It now works. I needed to adjust the MemCard file size.
BTW it says 1019 blocks is unstable (as is the highest number of blocks). What does that mean? It may not work reliably with Nintendont?

well unstable means if you toogle too many settings things might break since the bigger the memroy card bigger the memory it takes away from nintendont, but you shouldnt worry only the real 16mb option is the most unstable one that even breaks disc swap, 1019 should work fine.
