You still need to click the browser icon but then it will automatically start the HBL. You can enable the Quick Start Menu so you can start the browser from there at startup.
Thanks, and are the steps right? Put payload.elf in the wiiu folder, load any browser exploit, run HBC, run the indexiine installer and restart wiiu. Need to change anything else?

@GaryOderNichts your indexiine utility is not very far from one that would implement a regionhax installer, just a file modification. Do you consider it feasible?

Many thanks for keeping the wiiu scene alive

It should be possible to do. But I don't get the purpose of regionhax... I think CFWs like haxchi already make your console Region Free.
And I don't know much about region hax, iirc setting any value that is not the consoles original value or all region free results in a brick. Which means it makes it pretty easy to brick your Wii U.

Make sure to click the blue door in the top left corner to go to the browser start page.
Ah ok, when i click the blue door the HBC start, so how do i set the default page as my homepage? And is it possible to start Mocha CFW when click the bluedoor? Or need to start Mocha from HBC by hand? Thank you.

If you replace the contents in /wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher with the mocha cfw files it will start mocha instead of the hbl. But make sure to install the HBL Channel or else you cannot access the HBL anymore.

If you close the browser while beeing on the blue door page it should become your default page.

Ok, I set the default page as my home page, I replaced the files, but now I am getting a black screen FSOpenFile failed. Im using wrong Mocha files?

I dont think there are any good alternatives to Mocha that can be executed from the browser
I realized that it does not freeze, the screen stay stopped as if it was not getting / finding the file to launch.

Hi all,
I bought a second hand WiiU (5.5.2) and I successfully installed mocha and everything works with browserhax.
I was going to buy a DS game to install haxchi until I found this thread.
I would like to know what are the risks if something goes wrong and I don't have haxchi already installed.
Would it mean that I'll loose the only working entrypoint (i.e. browserhax) without any chance to recover it?
Am I right?
Thank you!

If you use the Indexiine Installer you cannot break your browser. The only way to break browser functionality would be if you do something really wrong using ftpiiu everywhere.

Btw there is one more entry point using MK8...

I agree that using the installer would probably be the way to go unless if it still contains bugs... :)
Modifying the browser index page seems dangerous to me when you don't have another entry point.

I read about MK8 and if I understand it correctly it needs another hacked wiiu on the same network and moreover it doesn't give you write access to all the memory. So in the end it seems to me that there isn't another viable entry point if you screw the browser...

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm really happy that somebody still works on the wiiu scene and propose new solutions. I'm only saying that it would be better to try this when another entry point is available.
