If you have a backup ready on SD, takes me ~15minlast question: how long does the process typically take to setup?
Fancy doing a video demo? I know there isnt much to see yet, but nice to see progress
Thanks again btw, incredibly grateful for you taking the time to look into this!
I've seen that haha, i meant a video demo of creating it and first boot. just to see how far you've gotIf you have a backup ready on SD, takes me ~15min

This is the first boot, well technically the 3rd.I've seen that haha, i meant a video demo of creating it and first boot. just to see how far you've got
EmuNAND is a copy of SysNAND. If one gets banned, both are banned.Sorry for representing the recurrent ignorance in this kind of thread, but... using emunand necessarily means that you can't be banned while on it?
I mean, If I get banned on emunand, my ofw sysnand would still be safe right?
I'm just asking because I want to go back to atmosphere and run emulations without worries.
Your emunand can and will get banned if you go online without 90 DNS or incognito enabled. If your emunand gets banned then your sysnand also gets banned.Sorry for representing the recurrent ignorance in this kind of thread, but... using emunand necessarily means that you can't be banned while on it?

Oh so it wasn't like I thought. Is there any real benefit of using emunand then?EmuNAND is a copy of SysNAND. If one gets banned, both are banned.
I should clarify that the point of EmuNAND is not to be offline. In fact, its actually the opposite. For people who have patched units and cannot update their SysNAND firmware past 7.0.1, EmuNAND is the only way they can go on a firmware of 8.0 or greater and subsequently online.Your emunand can and will get banned if you go online without 90 DNS or incognito enabled. If your emunand gets banned then your sysnand also gets banned.
Read the above response.Oh so it wasn't like I thought. Is there any real benefit of using emunand then?
I might blank out prodinfo stuff via emuMMC, optionally. What I could imagine adding an option to remove all Nintendo Online services from HOS when setting up emuNAND...
That would be great, of course.I might blank out prodinfo stuff via emuMMC, optionally.
That way even CFW won't have access to it.
*might be cached in system savesI once read on ReSwitched Discord that the device data is cached in the system save data...
Device-specific data are available in a bunch of places. That would be great, of course.
But then the emuNAND has to be clean and factory reset.
I once read on ReSwitched Discord that the device data is cached in the system save data...
So the "best" way to set this up will be:Device-specific data are available in a bunch of places.
Or for ipatched systems:So the "best" way to set this up will be:
Emunand -> Up To Date [probably updatable with ChoiDuJourNX] with deleted prodinfo / incognito or whatever for Offline play?
Sysnand -> Up To Date with Online features with a "Clean SysNand"?
Or for ipatched systems:
Emunand 1 -> Up To Date for Online shit and shit that won’t get you banned
Emunand 2 -> Up To Date for shit that will get you banned
Sysnand -> On lowest possible version
So the "best" way to set this up will be:
Emunand -> Up To Date [probably updatable with ChoiDuJourNX] with deleted prodinfo / incognito or whatever for Offline play?
Sysnand -> Up To Date with Online features with a "Clean SysNand"?
It doesn't really matter what I choose, everyone has to decide for themselves which method works for them.Your approach to emuMMC is different to what atmosphere originally wanted; i believe they wanted sysNAND on lower firmware for easy RCM entry points or warm boot (no need for dongle or jig) and then EmuNAND for online and latest firmware - i consider this risky as if there is a slight error in coding or anything then you are in ban city. Much prefer your approach!
1. encrypted, we hook as low as we can, all the crypto stuff is higher up the chain.1. Is emuMMC decrypted or encrypted?
2. If emuMMC is decrypted, will it be possible to run the system decrypted on the internal system memory?
