Had a strange bug happen with a mission in the 2nd time devil's castle (Pic below). In the mission where you fight Garlic jr and his men the battle would sort of stop when I took a hit, as im my character just stood there and the battle would not progress to my strategy phase. (Pic below is what the game was stuck on)

I managed to get past this by uninstalling the 1.3 update file provided and installing the official 1.3 patch and was able to complete that battle. I put your 1.3 patch back on after and tried that mission again and sure enough the bug occured again.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who had this bug but it didn't occur with the official 1.3 patch applied, I thought I'd let you know just in case its something that can be fixed.

Hello guys, I will be the one working in the translation from now on, so be welcome to the new thread that I can update, the thing is, we will be using the previous method for the patch mixed with an update in cia format, the reason why is that the game for the updates uses a folder DLC_Root for the updated files that are changed in the code.bin of the update, the issue is that every time an update would be made I would need to update the pointers for the code.bin and honestly is far beyond myself, the easiest way for me in that regard is updating the update and with the patch replacing the romfs of the game we have a golden combination

You have to extract the files from the rom and replace the files with the patched ones and rebuild the rom and then install the cia patch in Citra.

The problem is that you are not using the luma layeredfs, check that enable game patching is on when powering the 3ds and pressing select, and that the luma/titles has the downloaded patch and it should work

Please help me out. I'm dying to play the game. I'm on Citra and applied the patch to a deceypted (.3ds file) and it resulted in a bigger file but when loaded in Citra I just get a black screen.
Currently trying to do it on a CIA file but I won't be able to load that in Citra anyway right ?
I legit would pay for help :/ :/

I am not a citra player, there are users that have experience with those, I cannot help you

I was also wondering, what does the ips patch actually do?
I'm using the Citra 3DS emulator to run the game and it won't load the game after I've patched it with the ips file. Am i missing something if I'm not using it?

The game itself runs pretty good on Citra emulator, and i wondered if it's possible to apply the patch to the decrypted rom.
Anyone tried it yet?

You need to extract the rom and copy over the files in the "2018-7-17_DBH_UMX_Translation.zip" to the rom, overwriting the files when promted.
Then you need to install the update cia in Citra by selecting file/install cia.

You have to extract a encrypted rom with this program: https://github.com/Asia81/HackingToolkit9DS-Deprecated-/releases
Then copy over the files from the translation zip, overwriting when prompted.
Then rebuild the rom with the same program.
Then you have to decrypt the rom with a program like 3DS_OfflineDecTool.
Then install the update cia in Citra from the zippyshare link in the text file that comes with the translation patch.
And now you can play the game.
