Switch
pc
wii
2ds
7inch galaxy tab 4 SM-T230NU
shit, that's about it besides a ds, I do wana get a vita or ps4 for sao and miku games
I had a PS3 for exclusives. I only ever got Uncharted 1-3 and Last of Us. I wish I had waited to pick one up later. Actually, now with that Playstation streaming service it might be cheaper to subscribe and play those few exclusives than buy a system.

I have 2 Vita's that I need to sell. I bought them and the largest memory card with plans to play it all the time. I probably played a grand total of 2 hours :-/ Most of that was using moonlight to stream from PC. Uncharted on it just seemed to lose its magic. There was no other game on it that actually appealed to me. Probably my biggest gaming purchase regret, but I'm too lazy to actually put them on ebay or craigslist.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So the gimped ports of third party ps4 games, and lackluster game library is the solution?
If they really wanted something on the go then they would get a windows tablet and stream from their pc or just get a gaming laptop.
I tried the streaming route. I had a gaming laptop, but it was too bulky. I want something I can put in my pocket and take with me places.

I tried an iPad and moonlight, but I couldn't ever get in a comfortable position to use it since you had to prop it up to play with a controller.

The best thing I had was an NVIDIA Shield Portable. When it worked, I really liked it. I could even stream away from home if I was somewhere with a decent Internet connection. The 2 problems I had was that some games the controls didn't work at all or didn't work right. I spent a lot of time messing with programs to map input for this. The bigger problem was that NVIDIA would push driver updates that broke the game streaming feature a lot. I got tired of messing with drivers and updates on the device. It became more of a chore than fun.

I've probably played my Switch 1% of the time actually docked and on the TV. It is mainly a handheld to me. I just got done playing some NBA 2K18 on it, and I think it looks great even at 720p. Sure, I'd like it to be 1080p, but it isn't that big of a deal to me on a handheld. For handheld I'm fine with the graphics being good enough and not great.

Lol, even the shills at IGN wont deny the third party support problem.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/09/15/how-switch-is-fixing-nintendos-third-party-problem
You do realize the article you posted basically says exactly what I say in OP. No one was saying third party support isn't and hasn't been a problem. But we are saying it is improving more and more as the time goes on. In trying to prove your point you instead backed everyone else's claims against you.
It's still not perfect, but your old claims of "No current gen AAA titles" on the switch are now wrong with these two games. But now instead of using that, you'll find some other excuse as to why those games don't meet your criteria for third party AAA support, just like you always have and probably will continue to. You've even gone so far to somehow say they aren't current gen, even though they definitely are by definition. One of them isn't even out yet dude.

Im with you. Im not convinced. Games like Monster Hunter worlds would be on switch if 3rd parties were actually on board... wheres switch COD (not that im buying it) Wii got 3 cods.....

The thing is, the wii u failed. Everyone knows that. Because of it, when 3rd parties saw a new gimmicky console (yes, hybrid is a gimmick for now) they were for sure hesitant to jump on and make new games for it. Now that its doing well, we can see more companies supporting the console with ports (doom, skyrim) and new games (wolf 2)

It seems people complain when older games from this generation get put on switch, and then complain when they don't. You people can't get mad at nintendo for brining older games from this generation onto switch, and then at the same time be upset with them that it isn't happening with certain games.
And as stated before the switch just came out, the lineup won't have every single third party title available yet. It's the same with any console. I would bet switch will get COD. It just hasn't been announced within literally the first six months of the console existing. Why does everyone seem to expect everything to release on switch immediately? If you compare to other consoles this is actually a fairly standard lineup of games for the first 6 months compared to other systems, if not better.

Switch iss the most profitable platform to develop for and devs just won't skimp out on opportunity, even if they port one yeah old games such as DOOM it still I'd going to sell just for the portability factor. Indeed Nintendo was on to something when they developed the Switch I won't be surprised if we get a GTA this time because I think Nintendo have realised not all their consumer are kids and also most kids Play COD on other platforms.

Even if they are a "gimped" version of console games, people who own a switch will likely prefer the switch version for it's portability. And frankly I'm still surprised people somehow expect the game to run identically to the console version. You literally can't get the same performance from a portable system this size. Of course it will be gimped. People buying the switch understand that. We are trading some graphic quality for the hybrid portability aspect. Why people still don't seem to understand that is beyond me.

Still naysaying.

But keep closing your eyes and make believing if that makes you feel better while you clutch a dusty brick 2 years from now hoping for a release.
You can't and here is why. wolfenstein 2, a game that hasn't even been released for xbox one or playstation 4 and in that direct it was announced for the switch rip naysay

MHXX is easier to port, so that's coming first. Not sure if you realized that was already announced for Switch. Nothing saying Worlds can't come later.

Yeah the jp version. where is the English version?and then there is the secret of mana remake going on vita ant not switch.... Since the switch is not as powrfull as the ps4/xbone and their next updates the third parties are gonna whine. They have no back bone and only want easy ports. its why i torrent all their shit. they aint getting my money till they get off that high horse. Look at EA an ubisoft those are 2 of the worst. releasing games not even finished. When their game is released which almost no bugs like xenoblade x then ill be impressed.

English version will probably have a Fall release date if I had to guess. It'll definitely come. If the Secret of Mana remake devs want to pretend Vita is still relevant then that's their problem, it would sell just as well if not better on Switch. Can't complain about not getting every single game you might want, that's true of every platform. Rocket League and Enter The Gungeon are coming to Switch, and if you haven't played either one of those then they're must-buys. I'll be re-buying for the portable aspect without a second thought.

This. The only thing I've seen people complain about when they say third party support still sucks is "x game isn't coming to switch, so the switch third party support sucks". This is the story for every other console. Not every game gets released on every system. Especially when the games currently coming out were in development before the switch was even announced. So of course not every game being released in the near future will make it to switch (at least not right away), the games were being made for the other two before the switch hit the scene.

The people that bitch the loudest about 3rd party support are generally those who would just bitch about Nintendo anyway no matter what, same people that camp under a brand loyalty banner yet deride everyone else for being "fanboys".

Fact is Switch is a handheld, yeah it has a nice tv output and it's powerfull for what it is but it's still a handheld. The size alone makes it impossible to reach the same power as Sony or Microsoft and because of that there simply won't be the same amount of 3rd party titles released, some games simply won't run.
However some will, and the fact that a handheld can play some of these titles at all is mind blowing. Add into that the awesome Nintendo IP's being released and the breadth of indie support.

Not only that but the ease of playing these games while the rest of the family keep the tv, the playtime in the car or commute and playing out and about is really winning people over, games at 30fps 720p and low res textures are not nearly as noticeable on a small portable screen and it's a concession people are willing to trade for portability. 3rd parties are noticing this, seeing the sales numbers of Switch and the consumer base and releasing exclusives, porting older games and finding ways to cram new games onto it.

Buisness alone dictates you are not going to ignore a consumer base when your rivals will not and more and more support will follow, Switch is only 6 months old and publishers were understandably on the fence at release waiting to see numbers. The numbers came, the support started now we just need to wait for development times to catch up and you will see alot more 3rd party titles released, just never expect all the big names, it wouldn't be possible.

Talks of Final Fantasy XV being ported to Switch now, seems square can be added to the list of 3rd party interest as the Switch sales continue to dominate

Not to mention the fact they want to bring over FF XIV too.

I just hope both games come over to switch.

If Square Enix can get FFXV running on the Switch, as if Doom and Wolfenstein weren't evidence enough, 3rd parties would have literally zero excuses for not getting their games to also run.

Well, there is a call of duty for the wii, if they put enough effort the could port any title on the switch, they might need to change engine or modify one in order to bring those ports, the big question always is if it makes financial sense to port a game to a different system.
I would like to see besides the exclusive games and first party support on the switch, others AAA games on the console like nier automata, bayonetta 1 and 2, as well metro exodus, the last one might not pick if it has a lot of compromises on the switch, metro games pushes the systems to the limits in the last gen. Portability is a big plus for me, I would like to play again metroid prime trilogy on a portable console
