It was taken care of a while ago. It now uses 0x2c232.
Oh I see, I was wondering why there were 2 entries in the database for the save manager, the other one was indeed 2c232.
Thanks for the change. I hope other devs do the same thing :)

@Rohul1997
If you have the ID for steel empire, I'll add that and remove the JK entry (keeping the latest and correct one, 2c232)

I've actually run into the same problem myself. My save manager uses an ID filter for CIA homebrew apps and I've had to remove a few to prevent conflicts. I should've made notes.

Would've been awesome if you had written down the ones that were conflicting. I've just ran into this right before the last release so I don't know which HB needs changing (well, not yet anyway). But I'm glad your save manager already has that changed :)

Groovycia wont open anymore after I replaced the xml.
It won't open my ticket.db
Sorry for that. It was something that excel screwed up. I fixed it and replaced the JK title with the proper one while I'm at it.

Here is the new link, it's also in the first post, and I'll edit the link in the last release

@linuxares the dev just ends up at 0

it's no worse than if you pirated
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
it's probably better, because not all keys on key sites are stolen
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
plus piracy is not always an option

i heard a related story for a dev actually

    from a dev*

DRMs are getting stronger these days
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they bought their own game on a key site and checked where they came from and it turned out they were review copies he had given out by email to someone
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    *all* of them
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no storefront I'm aware of (at least on pc) requires the devs to pay for the keys they generate
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
they don't lose money doing this, even if someone decide to chargeback
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so that seems to be a pretty common thing, i kinda blame the dev for that one though as they were giving out like 5 keys to someone just because they asked for multiple copies for review for whatever reason and there were multiple people doing this. he should've seen the red flags
