The hex editor really needs a go to offset option. This is all I need and I'll be happy. Holding R to get to 17XXXXXX is pretty time consuming.

I'm not sure whether is Gateway team trying to use yls8's finding on 10.3 or not. Looks like there's an userland flaw on current latest firmware.

Is it just me or did Gateway implement it so when you press L + R + Down + B you instantly turn off your 3ds?

People kept saying how GW would probably use their blue card for ntrcardhax.
But can't they just use the red card?

As far as I'm aware GW red card doesn't actually have a header or banner or anything of its own, like when it is inserted in Slot-1, it'll just be blank and then change to whichever game you load into it while in GW mode, and is fully fpga-updateable. Couldn't they easily give the red card an icon and banner that triggers and exploits ntrcardhax to gain ARM9 kernel access and use memchunkhax2 for ARM11 kernel?

That'd also be an easy way for them to require GW red card in order to use their stuff, because no-one would be able to actually gain ARM9 kernel above 9.4 unless they had and were using a GW red card.

Then again anyone on 9.5+ would be able to downgrade to gain ARM9 access through other means, but GW would be the only ones really capable of gaining full access up to 10.3 without having to downgrade.

If they just exploit both memchunkhax2 and ntrcardhax to gain both ARM9 and ARM11 kernel then they don't need to include a downgrade option in their launcher anymore. Otherwise, if GW figures out memchunkhax2 before everyone else and releases it, there's a possibility anyone would be able to run their launcher and downgrade and then use a CFW, instead of having to buy their product. If they just gain ARM9 access directly, then they won't need to make their users downgrade

I just checked, It seems ntrhax works on all firmwares since no one mentioned its limit. But my guess is theyre gonna go the ARM11 way

They wouldn't be able to actually get GW mode to run with only ARM11.
ARM9 takes care of signature checks, so you need ARM9 access to actually run any CFW (which GW mode is.)

doesn't work for me in the 3ds menu or in game. though if you're talking about if you're in the gateway menu, all you have to do is press down+b to turn it off.

I had this too, seemed like the issue was actually a poor connection with the micro-sd card on the console. I took it out and blew in the micro-sd slot and it worked fine. This might be your issue. All my apps worked but gateway. Another thing to note is that the gateway launcher itself is very finicky, so it can take a few attempts.

Well sure, a different loading method. If it had loaded the gateway menu on L then it would have probably been some other issue. Sounds like your 3DSX is broken or something, if you haven't tried already, a redownload of the 3DSX wouldn't hurt. Heres a MD5 of mine if you want to compare:

So you get into emunand (how?) and load the GW.3dsx from there? Not sure if it's supposed to work. Have you tried to rename GW.3dsx to boot.3dsx and load it from menuhax?

Huh, I tought that ntrhax is traight up kernel/ARM9, I mean at least it says so in that clarification thread.

Umm, little note. Don't try to run GW.3dsx if you are already in emunand. You should be doing it from sysnand.
