I tend to clean it from time to time but god damn this is way too excessive of dust which I never expected to see on my Wii U's SD Card slot:

I'll have to use a hoover to clean this cause a q-tip won't do the job.

My other consoles with USB/Card slots never had this issue so just what the hell did Nintendo do?!

I think yer house is just to dusty.

I also tend to clean me PS3/360 once a year, it also has some dust on the fans but not on the components much.

Consoles aren't made to be opened and cleaned, they're basically plug & play so any hoovering is external.

How the heck???

My sd card door is ALWAYS opened and there isn't such amount of dust...

I also always keep an sd card in though.
Since I have a dummy SD Card I'll probably put it in there just to see if it makes less dust, it probably will, hopefully.

But seriously, this is fucking unbelievable! What the hell happened with Wii U?! :-S

But I do clean it, it just happens it collected dust way too quickly. If you knew me you'd know I hate dirty stuff.

Does the Wii U use positive or negative air pressure for cooling? If negative it is likely there is some sort of leak internally around the SD slot so air being sucked in through there. OR Something isn't grounded correctly with the slot so it is acting as a dust magnet. OR You just play the thing to damn much, Mr. 10k. :)

Laptops also aren't meant to be opened.
Nor do tellies.

I just take them apart and clean them, fuck what manufacturers say, I want me shit to keep on working.
