I'm using rxTools 3.0 b8 fix and it's working great, actually I have rxTools since the first sig patched version was released, never had problems, only the installation data suite that @pakrett sent me the data which was fixed it with this new rx 3.0 b8.

The same that reiNAND have but several centuries later, and just when @Reisyukaku released the source code... Interesting.

Actually It isn't based off of his code, and if you don't believe that then compare the sources when it's released

Ok so i got eveything setup correctly using rx 3.0 r8 (i think). I got emuNAND and sysNAND unlinked and can switch between them freely. However, i am now having an issue while updating the emuNAND, everytime i try it gives me an error then throws me back to sysNAND.

EDIT: Nevermind was an internet issue, YAY! Now on to installing .cia roms.

I haven't been able to do load the spider cia browser to install on my 9.9 unand. Any other way to get it?

Woohoo, .cia commercial rom installed and worked perfectly. Just one last question - For my retail carts (like pokemon x/y/or/as) can i use the same save on emuNAND and sysNAND? Like if i want to inject pokemon using QR on sysNAND then trade them online on emuNAND?

You can use the same save on both NANDs, just be careful when you play the game on another console.
If you're on firmware 6.x+, don't downgrade your sysNAND or vice versa. The emuNAND's firmware version doesn't really matter.

I was wondering why Nintendo still had those on offer instead of just having the latest one. Since you could download them with a regular NUS Downloader, I'm sure someone has the collection and we'll see them pop up somewhere, sometime.

Hi guys, does anyone know what the benefits are for running 4.5 sysNAND vs. 9.2 sysNAND?

Before with Gateway,
4.5 meant you could use the DS profile exploit, but it will corrupt saves with encryption >6.0.
9.2 meant you could play >6.0 encryption saves without corrupting, but can only use browser exploit.

But now with rxTools,
If you run 4.5, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can use slot0x25keyx.bin to play games with 6.0 save encryption right?
If you run 9.2, you can use MSET downgrade to use DS profile exploit. (Also, is there a difference between 4.x and 6.x MSET?)

So are there any benefits one has over the other anymore?
Is one maybe more stable than the other?

I recently installed rxtools on my old 3DS and it works great, installs 3ds .cia files through the fbi thingy on emunand (which I have unlinked) and they all work fine, but when i try and install GBA .cia files they install fine but when i try and run them it just comes up a black background with an error message. I googled around and found that I also need to install the FBI installer on the sysnand but even though the injection installation of it through rxtools runs fine and i dont get any error messages, when i boot back into sysnand and try and run it, it just comes up the typical health and safety messages and no fbi cia installer runs...am i missing something? any help would be very much appreciated as I would really like to be playing Mother 3 right now

While I appreciate the the fact that I can easily find information about it through google or search this site, I was asking for more information on the actual cia installer itself to go along with this, is it bundled with it or do I need to use it to install the FBI cia installer? would this have any undesired affects with my rxtools setup? the large "perfect bricking tool" lettering is a little un-nerving for a novice like myself

Anytime you mess with sysNAND you have a chance of bricking your 3DS. You could download what you think is a valid GBA CIA and install it, but instead it over-writes a very critical system title instead, and then bricks your 3DS. So make sure you do your reading and research before just jumping into something like this. I really think you need to read a bit more.

While I am sure you are right and reading up more on a subject is never a bad thing, I really don't know what else I should be reading...everything? As far as I am aware from reading, this should all have been possible through rxtools as other people don't seems to have this problem with installing the FBI cia installer to their sysnand but alas for me this seems to not be the case hense my questions...Is it really such a faux-pas to ask for help?

Only when the information is easy to find and readily available, which in this case it isn't.

The scene is in a state of flux at the moment. This CFW in particular is developing quickly, there are multiple releases and it's a bit difficult to keep up.

So no, I'm this case I think it's perfectly fine to ask for assistance.

I appreciate that
