Hacking Play some PSN Games in OFW

That tutorial uses kakaroto's ps3xport (0.2) and IDPStealer.

Thx to bigjokker of ps3hax for the work.

I've test it with Child of Light game, and it works, I'll use that game as example in that tutorial..

I think that the best way to follow that tutorial is to make a backup of the whole system, format the system and use the formatted system, because Make/Restore a backup takes a lot of time.

1. Have the lastest version of OFW and download the demo (In that case, Child of light)
2. Obtain our IDP with IDPStealer
3. Backup your ps3 to a pendrive (FAT32) you can use fat32format for format it.
4. Extract PSID using that command:

 ExtractPSID [backup_dir] psid.bin

[backup_dir] is the path of our backup, example:

PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/201501020459

that will generate the psid.bin

6. We need edat file
child of light edat:

UP0001-NPUB31430_00-CHILDOFLIGHTFULL.edat

Create the new directories

: Insert/dev_hdd0/home/000000XX/exdata/

In XX we have to put the user number of our account. For it, you can insert that command :
ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin ReadIndex PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/XXXXXXXXXX/archive.dat > expotarchive.txt
In "X" put your directory number.

If you've created a new user, simply search the maximum number, in that case 15

7. We have to insert the EDAT file

ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin SetDeviceID idp.bin AddProtected PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/XXXXXXXX Insert

"X" are out backup number, Insert is our new directory created before.
DONE!
We can check it with that command:

  ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin SetDeviceID idp.bin ReadIndex PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/XXXXXXXXX/archive2.dat > archivo.txt

Find a line like this:

8. Restore backup, enter the game and DEMO will be now FULL game.

Actually I found out you can create EDAT file. To create cracked EDAT all you need is the PARAM.SFO file inside the C00 folder! Open it in a HEX editor and you will see a "UP0000-NPUB00000-GAMES_EDAT_NAME" That is the name of the cracked EDAT copy it. Now in the HEX editor open new file leave it blank then save as Paste the name you copied from the param.sfo and add .edat to end of it. Now you need Aldostools. Right click on the empty edat and select "Make EDAT license for C00 game" this will create the Full EDAT file ready to be used!

Yes...Run Command: ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin SetDeviceID idp.bin ReadIndex PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/201412300508/archive.dat ReadIndex PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/201412300508/archive2.dat > filelist.txt

Change the Date folder (201412300508) to match yours.

Now in that text will be the paths to the C00 folders. Extract the Param.sfo file with the command:
ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin SetDeviceID idp.bin ExtractFile PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/201412300508 /dev_hdd0/game/NPUB31580/C00/Param.SFO Param.SFO

Just Copy and Paste path from filelist.txt (i.e /dev_hdd0/game/NPUB31580/C00/Param.SFO)
Also if extracting more than one param.sfo be sure to change each name so it doesn't copy over previous Param.sfo (i.e Param.SFO, Param2.SFO, Param3.SFO......an so on)

Now with the Param.SFO you can make the cracked Edat.

I have not inserted anything over 4 gigs into my backup yet. So I'm not sure if it will split FC4 into 3 part to fit on FTA32 drive. I downloaded FC4 from PSN and the backup was archive2_00.dat, archive2_01.dat, archive2_02.dat...and so on. You could try making empty archive2_01.dat & archive2_02.dat HEX files if the game only goes on one .dat.

Got same problem : Archive DAT file was not splitted. So can't inject over FAT32
But... will not download : it would take 300 minutes lol @ ADSL speed (I have fiber @ home, but Sony is not full speed with its servers)...

We need an "archive.dat" splitter.
