In an amusing new video posted on Nintendo’s Social Media channels this morning, Nintendo partnered with comedy/gaming troupe Mega 64 to drop some HUGE surprise E3 announcements on us.
The video, which has the guys from Mega 64 creating a “Filsamech” in the likeness of the President and CEO of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Amie, to infiltrate the Nintendo headquarters and find out top secret information about E3. In it, we learn quite a few things about the big N’s upcoming E3 plans, and boy, there’s some good ones in there.
Here's the rest of the post with the video.

Its funny how last year when Nintendo said they wouldn't hold an E3 conference and only do the digital thing, everyone freaked out. But now this year, everyone realizes that this method is just as effective, and there really is no need for the whole conference thing.

They're sticking with the digital streaming thing? Ech.

Considering how last year's presentation basically landed with a thud, I'd hoped they would've changed their minds. There's something about having a packed room that can enhance any announcement, especially for the big ones; Nintendo, of all companies, should know that. Besides, considering that just about every other company, hardware and software wise, is going to be there, it's doing nothing to help Nintendo's isolationist, standoffish reputation. Not to mention, for a console that desperately needs marketing like the Wii U, skipping E3 costs them exposure.

Just go on there, show your stuff, make your announcements, and let the crowd get hyped. Bam, you're done. You don't need "RADIOACTIVE! RADIOACTIVE!" and Aisha Tyler awkwardly sputtering about "#girlwood" to make it work.
