Since the new update, 99% of youtube videos i'm trying to watch is giving this error.
The solution is to change browser agent but it has to be done EVERY time.
Anyone else got this? european Wii U here.

Change user agent to Internet Explorer. Voilà, working YouTube. :D iPad and Safari also work to varying degrees.

Oops, skipped over the part about user agent. Changing it doesn't bother me all that much. Only takes a moment.

Does it have to be changed every time? Where do you change the settings?

I think youtube is blocking the Wii U...

I mean, why would Google prevent it if there's a specific app created for the Wii U?

You touch the little icon on the top left and then Settings. Scroll down and there is a User Agent option. Gotta set it every time you reset the browser.

That's really stupid that this has to be done now. I hope there's an update that fixes it. Not sure if we have to blame Nintendo or the web developers...

You can always use WiiMC in Wii mode, that streams youtube videos, right? And, to top it off, the new update allows you to stream that stuff to the gamepad.

problem solved :grog:

not everyone has a hacked vWii some of us still have our old wiis for homebrew, backups, emulators and stuff.
and i have another fix that can be less tedious than the user agent change. in the url of the youtube video replace this watch?v= with embed/ and the video should load like normal. granted you have to do it on every video that you watch but it's something
