Gaming Should Nintendo buy Platinum Games?

With Platinum's latest two titles Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 coming exclusively to Wii U with Nintendo even financing Bayonetta, It seems Nintendo is warming up Platinum for some sort of purchase, even just a stake in the company and make it 2nd party.

What do you guys think, do you think Miyamoto and Kamiya the men behind Zelda and Okami being under the same roof would be a good thing?

It might be a bit early to go that route. Only Platinum game I've played was MadWorld, which didn't quite live up to expectations. Nintendo can always work with them on games without owning them like they did with Silicon Knights to make Eternal Darkness.

If the price is right, absolutely. Nintendo needs to broaden their appeal, and it would be a good first step in getting there. It's either the shortcut of snapping up some studios that lie outside their core demo or building them from scratch.

Platinum Games are bad ass. Whether they're with Nintendo or not, I love them all the same.
