Metal Gear took a completely off the rails twist when it came to releasing Metal Gear Rising, an action game that strayed from the normal stealthy affair of MGS (well, slightly). The concepts introduced in the game people thought would make an optimal fit for the PC. And now it looks like it can be, as Konami has announced that Revengeance will be coming to the PC.

This marks the first Platinum Games affair for the PC. Earlier, during the development of the game, it was said that a PC version was "considered" after the PS3 and Xbox 360 version were completed.

No release date or info on additional content was announced yet.

I wonder if this will be optimised for PC. I THINK WE ALL KNOW THE RESPONSE TO DARK SOULS PC WASN'T SO HOT!
There were two problems: shitty keyboard controls, and and a shitty display.

Both were fixed by fans within days of release. And the game was further polished with a free expansion included, and mods.

At least wonky starts can be fixed on PC. Unlike console releases that start as shit and often remain as shit.

Rising already runs at 60 frames on consoles.

Not a stable 60 though.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-metal-gear-rising-face-off

"In comparing eight different combat scenarios, we see the frame-rate wavering between 40 and 60FPS marks on both consoles with the 360 typically ahead of the two"

"V-sync is always engaged during on PS3 and 360, though regular frame-rate dips blight the fluidity of playback for both platforms, causing a perceptible judder in either case. We're very rarely playing at the full promised 60FPS."

I want constant 60fps.
