Another day and SQUARE ENIX commit another act of terror which is almost certain to make their whiny fanbase cry again. After the 343.43th port of Final Fantasy IV, SQUARE have ported the 3DS game, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, to iOS. However this isn't a case of merely porting the exact game over! Instead Theatrhythm will be available for free!
Well not exactly, the initial download will be free with only two songs ('One-Winged Angel' from Final Fantasy VII and 'Zanarkand' from Final Fantasy X). Instead you will have to buy the majority of characters and songs separately. Now you may all seethe at SQUARE. Pocket Gamer got their calculator out and made some calculations where buying everything would set you back around £104/$147. Wheres buy the 3DS game and the DLC wll set you back £66.79/$81.47.Oh SQUARE, you truly are a pimp whoring out your once beloved Final Fantasy. Though personally I think Final Fantasy is a load of bollocks so I'm just laughing at the crazy antic of SQUARE.To all of you feeling betrayed, degraded, used and abused then look on the bright side; at least SQUARE didn't spend a week on a The World Ends With You teaser, only for it to end up as a port for iOS!
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy hits App Store with perfect timingBuying everything in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on iOS would cost you over £100
