Report: Xbox 720 and PS4 Codenames and Details

According to SemiAccurate, internal sources have revealed that Microsoft's next Xbox is is being developed as project "Kryptos"

Moving onto the console many are calling the PlayStation 4, it's apparently being referred to internally as project "Thebes".

No... just... no. Why are people assuming that the PS4 will be based on the AMD chip when for all we know, it's just the devkit is. In fact, we also know that the kit came in two parts - the PC station and a separate PCI-E card, which could contain just about any CPU/GPU, so we really don't know the architecture. Moreover, Orbis sounds like a far better codename due to the Orbis Vita saying - it just sounds more plausible.

As for the XBox "720", we already heard about Durango and even saw a devkit in the wild.

Also, the source's name doesn't do it any favours. SemiAccurate? Sounds legit.

Umm I hate to say this, "but do unto others as you'd have done unto you." Right now you're just asking 98% of GBAtemp to wail on you. As for this bit of "news", it's two very improbable codenames for widely speculated on consoles. I find it incredibly improbable that this is correct.
