Chibi robo is one of the cool Skip Ltd games, the creators of "Giftpia" (Ngc) and "Captain Rainbow" (Wii)

Hi, Doom is back XD (i know some of you hate me..lol) anyway..
Finally i made it o.O The ENG patch for chibi robo (JP) is finally completed!

The Process:
-All the NGC text script extracted and inserted in the the wii jp chibi-robo new play control dvd.
-Hacked wii font.
Yep everything went well!
Now i have the game with full eng text completed.

Things remained in Japanese?:
Not so important or vital,
JP Text remained: New game, continue, options (from the start menu) load, save,
some title menu in the game options. (dont turn off the console, the wii mote warnings..)

Improvements for the wii version (Japan only):
-Improved graphics,
-wide screen support (16:9),
-reconfigured controls with wiimote.

Great job!Thank you for your work and your time!!!!

May I suggest to wait until you edit 100% the remaining text before anything else?

Wow! Great job! If you have the time, I'd like to hear how you did it - what was extracted, whether you used availible tools or made your own, etc.

If you must keep it strictly legal, require users do it themselves by providing their own Chibi Robo backups.

It looks like the English title screen text is off-center. Is it possible to add some leading spaces to counteract this somewhat?

Isnt simple release this stuff without going against the law (copyrights things..) for ds is simple to make a xdelta patch, but
for wii with a ppf patch isnt simple.. (the earth seeker patch for example.. with strange errors in patching...)
so maybe i will release the file in some way, right know i dont know how.
ROFL! Suddenly you are going to start sharing your work instead of just showing it off? :rofl2:

Let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe he really did it and he will really release a patch (one for each language?).

You want to know a way to create and apply patches without using PPFoMatic?
Here is the solution : wiimm's iso patcher for windows linux and mac.

It works with ALL iso formats (iso, wbfs, cIOS, etc., and with or without the update partition)

You can make the patch the other way:
explain which files to extract and which one to replace for users with the original games.

Please, show the community that you changed and you are not trolling again.
The reputation you have here is only the one you made yourself.
Show that you can fulfill a promise and users will change.

Thanks.

I would really like to see more people going towards the way of using riivolution to playing and producing modified game content.
But then you have to write an entire file yourself (otherwise you would be sharing Nintendo's code) instead of making a few modifications to one. It's easier to distribute a patch.

Actually, I find it easier to download a .zip of modified levels/files/ or whatever mor than any other method. At least if I use riivolution to play a modified game, I can expect that the modified game will play as intended.

What I'm saying is normally you would extract a file from an ISO, make some changes, then add it back. With Riivolution you couldn't do that because distributing the modified files would still be sharing Nintendo's files. Instead of modifications you have to come up with your own files from scratch.

So yes, Riivolution is easier for the end user, but it's much harder for the person creating the patches.

Ummm, there are HUNDREDS of way of sharing files and not having it include copyrighted code. Riivolution does file replacement, I support riivolution more than any other method because it works.
