Homebrew Official WUP Installer - Title installer + Firmware spoofing [3.x - 5.4.0]

hey all, I'm on 5.3.2 and spoofed to 5.5. Going to spoof to 5.5.1 tonight, and I want to update Splatoon. Just curious if all the problems mentioned here are specific to 5.4? Is there anybody on 5.3.2 having problems using wupinstaller to update Splatoon? I read through the past 5-6 pages and didn't see any mention, thanks.

Hello. I am having a lot of problems installing the spoof. I am on 5.3.2 U, kernel and loadiine both run fine (backups all run well) and I am properly using Tubehax and I have Nintendo's servers all blocked in my router. I am trying to spoof to 5.5.1 using the proper USA version is Crediar's spoof from http://wupinstaller.com/version_usa.rar, but it keeps freezing every time I run the kernel exploit and then go to wupinstaller.com/wi. The files are properly extracted into my SD card (tried 3 SD cards) in <root>/install and I have troubleshooted all of the "Common Problems" section. Am I missing something, or is this hour long of freezing and hard resets normal? Here is what I am doing:

1. Insert SD card with proper files in the proper place.
2. Open system settings, close.
3. Open browser, go to http://exploit.wiiubrew.net/ and run Loadiine Kernel (5.3.2)
4. Go to http://wupinstaller.com/wi (Freezing 100% of the time here as soon as I go to the URL).

Did I miss something? Steps 1-3 work just fine when I want to run loadiine for backups. Is the struggle to spoof to 5.5.1 truly this real?

Have you tried going to the /wi one twice in a row without any other exploits running?

Do you mean without running the kernel? I was under the impression that I needed to run the kernel first to get wupinstaller to work. Am I mistaken? I did try to run it without the kernel a few times and got the "Race attack failed", and figured I should probably have the kernel exploit first. Am I wrong?

Have you tried clearing the cookies in the Wii U browser? Sometimes that will fix problems for me.

That might be because it's using the newer userland exploit that is susceptible to network latency. Try locally hosting an .mp4 version of the exploit, there are some guides on the forums or google how to set up a local server.

Even though it says 5.4, it will still work for your situation.

Are you on 5.4? And you used the wupinstaller.com method? If so, that's why. It's bugged and can't install any updates that are several hundred megabytes. Delete the unused data and use this one:

I am on 5.3.2 with 5.5.1 spoof.

If I use wupinstaller.com/wi then it say :

install OK directly after running.

If I run the one from exploit.wiiubrew.net it plays a Sound when back to main Menu like "Updating Sound"

By the way the new SSB Euro Update comes in at 2.23GB not 1.70GB mentioned above. I had to download it twice off NUS, the first time it came in at 1.70GB for some odd reason and it would not install with wupinstaller I downloaded it again to make sure and it came in at 2.23GB on the second download so that was the mistake, NUS had not downloaded it fully for some reason so yes check it again if wupinstaller wont install it!. Also make sure you format your sd card fat32 else if not this can cause the frozen screen on second boot to main menu, nothing else and also make sure your folder on your sd card says install "lower case i, not capital I"on the second boot of wupinstaller go to the home menu press X to go to the mii plaza and you need to leave it there for at least 2 hours or so to install the SSB update properly, it takes a while to complete else it will be corrupt!

Don't work for me anyhow. Dunno. Other Patches work but the Smash Bros Patch seems not to work. Maybe 5.5.1 Spoof broke Wupisntaller or dunno

It worked for me, i could install SSBU without any problems, it took 1 1/2 hours to install.
I have a spoofed 5.5.1E (from 5.4.0E), can i somehow go to the eshop and buy dlc for super smash bros?

I got the 5.5.1 spoof working. Thanks @ShinkoNet for asking if I ran wupinstaller without the exploit. Here I was loading the kernel exploit and then using wupinstaller (and freezing). I have successfully spoofed my 5.3.2U to 5.5.1U. Now I will move on to manually updating SSBU with wupinstaller. I have one of the unfortunate SSB disks that has 5.4 firmware on it and of course it wanted to update my system, so I was spoofing to begin with so I could use the SSB mod. Wii Fit U is a huge pain using MiiMaker mod because when you try to switch your Mii it goes back to Loadiine (of course). You have to reboot, switch your Mii, load the kernel exploit and loadiine and re-launch Wii Fit U if another person wants to work out with their Mii. Being able to use the SSB mod will eliminate my issue. Thanks for the help with spoofing, it is very much appreciated.

If you actually updated from 5.3.2 to 5.5.1 then the TVii icon was removed from you menu.. if it is still there you are ok..
