BUt how do you boot into recovery? I cant seem to do it on a regular good condition O3DS while pressing the buttons!

Is 85$ for Nintendo to repair here in NY, but you when turning on the Nintendo 3DS while holding A+R+L+Up(DPad) the menu should popup.

ah ok thanks since i do not have a hard mod i wont go searching for a non existent way to backup my nand without it. i will just wait till at least tomorrow for the hype to die down and for any potential fixes so i wont get a bricked 3ds too

You can't use other consoles backups. Backups are console specific.

I still am confident this is a software problem and can be fixed! Guys don't let your dreams be dreams! All who surffer this software brick should come together to try to fix it. It still functions it's just some files are curropted. We still have hope (I hope)

That's what I'm doing as well. I just got this New 3DS and don't want to screw it up. Might do it on my o3DS though.

Yep and it doesn't do anything (with or without SD card inserted)

Here is a tip: don't say it's bricked. Say it won't turn on. Also don't say you installed homebrew and REMOVE YOUR SD CARD so they can't trace you

With no prior back up of the nand there is no way to fix.
