With the dsound commit recently, audio in Forsaken, Revolt, Fighting force and a few others is now working correctly!
That's why i made an archive for the last change of WiiStation before adding the Lightrec for replace the PPC dynarec. U can look for it on GitHub, at saulfabregwiivc/WiiStation at branch oldPPCdynarec-latest.Thunderforce5 game crashes with WIISTATION Lightrec during trying to pass level 1 Boss, it gives black screen with error messages or reboots, i've checked multiple time, same thing with WIISX Lightrec, but it doesn't do that with the Dynarec version. So the Lightrec has much more performance but less compatibility for Games. At the moment I am checking quite a few games.
It's like the eerie sequel to that guy that only posted comparisons between PCSX on PC vs Wii and demanded Driver 2 to work. That's why i made an archive for the last change of WiiStation before adding the Lightrec for replace the PPC dynarec. Wasn't it working properly? Is it specific levels? I tested those briefly some time ago and didn't have any notorious issues with audio. For example, a game that now has broken music is Mega Man X3.With the dsound commit recently, audio in Forsaken, Revolt, Fighting force and a few others is now working correctly!
Nah, For Forsaken the audio issue was in the title screen and then ingame, with Revolt, it was in the 3,2,1 countdown and when collecting items and on Fighting Force it was in the title screen and in game iirc. It's like the eerie sequel to that guy that only posted comparisons between PCSX on PC vs Wii and demanded Driver 2 to work.
BTW, can anyone confirm that boot through BIOS seems broken on Wiistation since at least september last year? (I tested the oldest build in my SD). To be specific, the BIOS starts, but no game boots, it will stay at the BIOS menu, you need to disable the option. Just noticed yesterday as I was just casually watching the interface changes between the PSX and the PSOne.
PSP BIOS doesn't count as that one autoboots anything and doesn't have a internal menu.

Hi emukidid, is the bug that doesn't allow the console return to homebrew or reset after a DSI crash in libogc2? (According to this report). Would it be complicated to resolve? You're forced to turn off and on or unplug the console every time a crash occurs, which for now it is common.New commit today, should boost all games by 10% or so.
Hmm, okey okey. Not sure on Wiistation but with RX 3.3, Fighting Force sounds perfectly normal both in the title screen, FMVs, and in-game, full speed too. Same case of normal sound with Forsaken, Fighting Force 2. Couldn't test Re-Volt as that one I don't have currently.Nah, For Forsaken the audio isuue was in the title screen and then ingame, with Revolt, it was in the 3,2,1 countdown and when collecting items and on Fighting Force it was in the title screen and in game iirc.
Exactly what I described, nothing out of the ordinary, just have it on, and load any game. But correct on the CUE difference, it's the only way that it will boot through, I just did it seconds ago after reading your comment. Though I don't use that extra screen, just thought that it was weird that no one mentioned it before as there is quite a few people obsessed with the placebo effects of the PSX BIOS versions on Wii compatibility.@niuus
Uhhh...
I didn't even notice that issue.
I always had run my PS1 games on WiiStation (all builds) with Boot Through Bios set to ON and guess what? I didnt even had issues with that.
But... the games need to have a CUE file per game in order for run them on WiiStation.
What did you exactly do for have that issue?
It maybe just a WiiSX/GCSX issue, it was Fighting Force 2, I wasn't 100% sure from memory if it was the first or second game but I just re-checked and it was Fighting Force 2 I cant remember the other couple games that had messed sound.Hi emukidid, is the bug that doesn't allow the console return to homebrew or reset after a DSI crash in libogc2? Tekken 2 is working 100% speed on Wii with the new lightrec. Tekken 3 does need the overclock for now. The latter I already finished on RX months ago with all characters, i'm only missing one more hidden character to unlock everything. I'd recommend you Bloody Roar 2 if you're looking for games better than the Tekken series.Just finished the Arcade Mode of Tekken 3 on latest build of WiiSX with Lightrec.
The best PS1 fighting game i could play.

Well yes, I kept the lastest wiistation with Dynarec so no problem ^^.....I was just happy to give feedback about the bug I discovered as all is perfectly nice in thunderforce V until you beat the 1st boss.....Some people might not be even able pass the 1st level, it take time to test 1st level with differents versions of wiisrx/wiisxrx/wiistation to be sure ^^That's why i made an archive for the last change of WiiStation before adding the Lightrec for replace the PPC dynarec. All the listed games are working, except for the issues I mentioned. Frame rate is near fullspeed, except for Tekken 3 which is still very slow. I notice that certain graphical effects with trasparent textures produce slowdowns, like at the beginning of soul reaverHi Tetsuo Shima Nice list of tested games, do all these games work? It's better if you speak "only" of game that don't work as the majority seems to work, no? I agree with you, let's give offerings to Emukidid for his futur reincarnation!!
It has always been the case. It's a known taxing effect to emulate, specially on software rendering.I notice that certain graphical effects with trasparent textures produce slowdowns, like at the beginning of soul reaver
Even if it was said many times before, these are, like you described, early development versions, not intended for everyone. But that's one of the biggest problems on the Wii scene, a lot of users are takers and complainers. Do this, do that, implement this, implement that, it's so slow, why don't they make it faster, why doesn't it look better, I don't like distractions, why don't they make a port of this plugin, etc. But nevertheless, exciting times indeed, emu_kidid and co. are doing a phenomenal job and they can't be commended enough for all the work they have given out for free for more than a decade. Those messages are showing because the compiled files of this version of the emulator are still early development versions and not a publicly released, let's call it "finished" first release.
I agree the VM messages are obnoxious, they even cause screen tearing, but they're not something we will see whenever this gets an official first release, emukidid said as much.
Of course having a new recompiler is something that not everyone would know or be bold enough to get going, so for most when they say "it's not going to get better than x" I assume is said with that in mind.
And that's what made this new thing so exciting. About 240p... that would be ideal but might take some time to implement. And for 480p taking away the bilinear filter would do wonders to improve the visuals, which should be simpler but I don't know what entails.
Save states working fine on Wii.Latest builds of WiiSX and CubeSX with Lightrec until git 8b7abde

Latest change is fixing save states on PCSXGC (WiiSX/CubeSX), so now saving and loading savestates are now working.
Compiled with Lightrec library until git e78ab28
Please test these builds, thanks
Wiisxrx/wiistation have it but NOT wiiSx , but you have to have ALSO a wiiU channel forwarder on front page of the wiiu, Repeat with me "In order to have the gamepad support, we must have the wiiU forwarder+The wii forwarder in the wii (might be not mandatory depending of how the wiiU channel is done+ the app that supports it!", For example wiistation support the gamepad, many homebrew don't support the gamepad ;-)Hi. There is no wii u gamepad support ?
