wireless slider wont work

So i have cfw on my 3ds xl and in the rosalina menu i have an option to turn off wireless connection which is fine, but i wanna be able to use the slider. Except the slider wont turn off. it still goes up and down but when i try to use it nothing happens.

The slider is probably just worn out (it is replaceable), I have a similar issue on my non-XL 3DS but I can get the slider to work after 10 to 30 tries.

ive tried multiple times to get it to work but it really just seems stuck on "on"

Opening the console is worth a try. If the outer plastic part lost contact to the inner (electronic) switch part this should be an easy fix.
Otherwise the inner part of the slider is probably corroded and not sending a signal. On my test O3DSXL it randomly turns on and off without even touching. →


Proper solution is most likely soldering in an new one.

ah, i see
sadly i dont own a soldering iron nor do i know how to use one and i dont exactly have the money to get it repaired
