I've tried all the codepage settings for subtitles

No luck on displaying Vietnamese

I really don't get it. I didn't use WiiMC for the longest time, then I popped in Dexter Season 3 Disc 1, IT WORKED.

Why is it some discs work and some don't? Is it possible the discs that don't work are DVD DL's? "Cause my Wii wont play DVD DL's (I know cause I wont play brawl haha)

Some DVDs won't play if it's protected.

As for unicode subtitle, they will show properly if it's a *.ssa type format of sub (tested myself). There is a free app to convert your existing sub to *.ssa http://www.aegisub.org/ .. and it's FREE. Open the original sub file and save it as somefile.ssa (wich is default).

Hi Pip,

I've already tried saving the subtitle as ass, ssa file type but still does not have any luck.
Here's a sample srt file of my language (Vietnamese) : http://www.mediafire.com/?jfi5tymjtyg
It is in UTF-8.
Mplayer CE replaces Vietnamese characters with ? and WiiMc replaces them with square boxes.

since 1.02 (even with 1.03), I get following error when I try to start WiiMC:



I really don't know what's the cause for this, WiiMC seems to be the only app for me, where I'll get this error for now.

Any help would be nice.

That does just happen to me, if my USB HDD is connected to my Wii.

So, what's case of this?

I found out a forum post to help display Unicode subtitle on the Mplayer CE by copy the arial or tahoma fonts from windows to replace the subfont.ttf, then add some lines in config file

subfont-encoding=unicode
utf8=yes
subcp=UTF-8

But there's no way to config like that in WiiMC

i get fail message when trying to install the ios

make sure u properly removed the stub IOS first

I'm an user of WiiMC since it exists and it's a great prog §

Thanks and bravo.

But, all videos are not playing in the same size (4/3, 16/9, etc ...) and the automatic is not always the best view.

So i would like a shortcut to change size while the video plays (maybe button 2 wich is unused ?).

Does the original forwarder channel need to be uninstalled before running the new one? Or will the new just override the old and fix the problem with usb mounting issue?
