I'm using cfw booter and the eur release of zelda with the v16 update how do i get the new update?
I have a couple of questions and I hope you can push me a little forward.
I have been using what I believe is called the 'Brazilian method'. It seems that there quite a few benefits by using CFW - even though I am a noob.
Thank you in advance.
- If I choose the go the CFW route what will happen to the games already installed? Will the still be playable when not in "CFW-mode"?
- If I want the install DLC (which I understand is possible when using CFW), do I have to reinstall the games already on my console or can I add the DLC. If so should I first delete the games through the Wii U settings?
- If I have to reinstall the games, what precautions should I take considering my game saves?
- What do you think would be the best way to utilize game backups considering I am a noob? I am thinking RedNand Mocha etc...
- Is it possible to install BOTW using the 'Brazilian method' only?
My reply is based on my experience with Haxchi CFW (don't know Mocha besides what I read here on GBATEMP):
1. Games already installed are fine. Games that require a CFW (i.e. VC or eShop only titles) wont be playable without CFW on).
2. You can add DLC to already installed games. Just remember to activate your CFW before starting the game.
3. You shouldn't need to reinstall, so no stress there.
4. Both Mocha and Haxchi/CBHC are great CFW.
5. Dunno (waiting for USA version )
Thank you very much.
2. What will happen to games already installed (Brazilian method) with added/updated DLC if I run them without CFW? Are they not gonna run at all or are they booting without the DLC? Also if I install DLC though WUP it shouldn't overwrite anything as long as I activate CFW beforehand?
4. I'll consider Mocha and CBHC. I don't think I dare using coldboot at this time.
5. Yeah. Probably not many experiences at this time.
You can try Wii U USB Helper?Been trying to use FunkiiU... It opened the first time, but now it doesn't open.. On top of that, the install folder I got from it, I placed in my install folder on my SD card... when opening Wup installer, it does not show anything in the folder. There's hundreds of pages on this site, but starting from the beginning of each thread is out dated. Is there anything else besides FunkiiU? NUSGrabber simply won't open on my PC.. Is there not anything that converts loadiine to eup install ready?
Will do. Thank you! From what I'm getting, is the Python FunkiiU/NUSGrabber a discontinued method already?Wii U USB Helper
Well, there's so many tools, and they all do things slightly differently - maybe you'll find an older tool that does something that Wii U USB Helper doesn't. No harm in using it if you want to.Will do. Thank you! From what I'm getting, is the Python FunkiiU/NUSGrabber a discontinued method already?
With no sign of a 5.6.0 update, is it worth waiting for a low level hack, or should I just install CBHC?
Yes.Are wii virtual console games working on Wii U now?
Is there anything different about installing them and playing them?
As far as I know, the only way to play it off an SD Card, would be through loadiine GX2, but apparently the load times are really really bad (like take 1 minute just to bring up/close the pause menu bad). If you've completed any of those game on your system memory, I'd delete some for now to clear up some space. Re-download them when later after getting a powered HDD. Your save data will be fine.Is there anyway to play Zelda BotW from sdcard?
I tried the same as Mario loading it to sdcard and booting (with update 33) to loadiine and it just goes black... the TV display seems to go off (it says lost signal) the gamepad is just blank.
I can't justify a Switch just for Zelda at the moment - but also I know when the game disc arrives I can't play it currently - if i download it digitally I don't have enough space unless I get a HDD... rock and a hard place! I guess I need to get myself some external HDDs to clear up space and/or install games to the HDDs but in the meantime - can I boot it off my SDCard at all? or no hope and should give up now
TY
