C64 Retroarch core - Frodo for Nintento Wii with some improvements:

-removed default frodo palette (awful) and replaced by Colodore palette
https://lospec.com/palette-list/colodore

-improved the visibility of the virtual keyboard (darker background).

Loading a game:
first things first, you have to map your wiimote keys (Settings-input-port1 binds)
To load a game: open virtual keyboard (Y retroarch key, wherever you mapped it)
then at PG1, press SHI and then End

Joystick configure:

At virtual keyboard: PG1, press GUI, Press Select on your gamepad to control cursor with pad keys, press Joy, Enable Joy1 and Swap Joy.
Then you will have Joy2 control that most games need. In case Joy1, switch off Swap Joy.
Save cfg when you are done.
Mind you, Frodo is not very accurate and some games won't work fine, try enable 1541 in GUI floppy option.

Thanks for this!!! I see some improvements over the other existing C64 emu (c64-network.org, also based on frodo)
The Sid emulation seems a lot better, with very nice and rounded basses.
Seeing it in action with bilinear filtering disabled and Scanlines overlays (Scanlines scale=1.50) is pure joy for me!

A couple of questions:
- I only managed to launch .D64 games, do you know if it's working with .CRT's too? That would be a dream!
- How can I bind the Spacebar to a Wiimote button?
- In a similar way, would it be possible to bind the Joy Up direction to a Wiimote button?
- I'm trying to use it as a Wiiflow Plugin, but it won't autoboot the games using the standard Retroarch argument line:
arguments={device}:/{path}/|{name}
Do you know if it's possible to autoboot the games in some way?

Thanks again for your great work!!

Frodo supports .d64, .t64 files. About bind key (space) to wiimote, probably has to be done in source code. Joy up can be done easily in input-binds settings. In fact i am using it this way already.

About automatically boot games again should be done in source level. About wiiflow i really have no idea.

Hello. Can someone tell me the optimum settings to display this on a CRT?

I'm not sure what the internal resolution option in the Core Options actually do.

I also read that the c64 is 320 X 200. But the 640 X 200 resolution still looks off with uneven looking pixels.

Any help appreciated.

I'm dead surprised the c64 doesn't have a great FCEUM or Genesis GX Plus style standalone emulator.
