Random (4 KB) Max: 2999 microsecs., Avg: 2967 microsecs.
Random (16 KB) Max: 11809 microsecs., Avg: 11783 microsecs.

Anyone knows if that's bad?

So yeah, quite a noticeable difference, but I only tested my class-6.

Is it legit? Does it really transfer at 4mb/s?

How can I test that?

QUOTE(eggsample @ Jun 9 2011, 03:13 PM) What class is SDHC card?
Try full format, not quick/erase.
Class 4 means it has a speed of 4 Mb/s, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsd

When I try to full format, I get this message.

Wait a minute, a real legit 4GB cart reads 3.72GB?

Yep, it's legit. It's the the difference between what a computer calls a Gigabyte (in bytes), and what companies call a GB. Companies use 1GB=1,000MB=1,000,000KB=1,000,000,000bytes (1000 to the next step), where a computer uses 1GB=1,024MB=1,048,576KB=1,073,741,824bytes (1024 being as step up).
So yeah it's legit.

Not what I meant, misunderstanding.

4GB cards register as 3.72GB.

Not 3.68.

Actually looking at the error now.... I wonder if he got the SD card and the vendor 'faked' the partition table to show 4GB? Reminds me of that guy who bought a 500GB external hard drive, that was really a 4GB USB stick inside a case.

Id go into the Panasonic formatter. In the "Options" set "Format Size Adjustment" to ON and see if the quick format works. If not go for the Full format which takes a LONG TIME so be patient

I think it's the Acekard. It's just defective or something. What a crappy cart. So many weeks waiting for an update for 1.4.2 and then this happens. Shit

EDIT: I kept trying and when I tried playing some games, it appeared a message saying that the DScart were removed. I thinks is something in the MicroSD-AK2i contacts. I tried the paper tricks, so it's improbable that the problem it's in the DSi-AK2i contacts.

In all these cases I've seen it was the MicroSD, which is why we're focusing on that.

Go out and buy a 2GB or whatever's cheapest from an actual brick-and-mortar store and test it.

Oh, I see. I just tried with a generic 2GB MicroSD and still the same. This is the 3rd MicroSD I test.
I dunno. Maybe the MicroSD slot is functioning wrong...

I don't think the problem's with the micro SD card, but with your ak 2i.

First of all, did you update your acekard 2i with the correct updater? There are two of them, depending on the system used when you upgraded (one is for DS phat/lite and the other for DSi/3DS). I don't know what kinds of problems might emerge from using the wrong updater for the DS system you used to upgrade your ak 2i, but it might be worth a shot.

Maybe you should try reflashing the update again on another system (other than your 1.4.2 dsi) with the corresponding updater for which ever system you chose to reflash.

If you don't have another DS system, you should borrow someone else's.

I updated in a NDSL so I used the DSL file.
Then, I tried reflashing, using the DSi file in my DSi.
It didn't worked.
