Gaming What is the BEST RPG in your opinion?

Personally, I think Final Fantasy IX is the funnest RPG while Final Fantasy X has the best storyline.
Xenosaga III is my runner-up for overall. xD

1. Final Fantasy VII (for me the best RPG to date)
2. Final Fantasy X
3.Kingdom Hearts 2

They all have a very good story and gameplay

This is in the NDS section, so you might want to get this thread moved to "General Consoles Discussion" if you are expecting answers from other consoles.

But, to contribute... I really enjoyed Lunar Silver Star Story and Lunar Eternal Blue. Not the most innovative gameplay (very linear and traditional) but the story was breathtaking.

I'm also a Star Ocean series fan. I love the battle system, the multiple endings, the variety of characters and the secret dungeon at the end of each game (plus the secret boss). There's always so much to do in the game, and I find the replay value extremely high.

Shouldn't this be in the General Console section? If we're talking about any RPG, then Final Fantasy IX is the best. If we're talking about DS RPGs, then Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy IV.

Id say one of the FF but ill give a diff game. I think Brave Fencer Musashiden is an awesome RPG for the PS1.

Chrono Trigger, Fallout 2, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, The World Ends With You, Secret of Mana, Deus Ex (FPRPGS?), there are too many good ones, and choosing one is a mind-fuck.

The World Ends With You. I don't consider CT a DS game, as it's really just a port.
