weird thing is, this works with just the infolib.dat and thats only in TTmenu to increase load times for games, nothing concerning AP

so, now with the last Extinfo.dat, you need always to patch the game ?

I have found no infomation in extinfo.dat are savlib.dat , just infolib.dat

The patch might have done somethink to the rom as it now no longer works on no$gba 2.6a

Did you change the GameID for the original rom to WarioWare D.I.Y.(U) UORE B95D9EDF

The new gameid is diffrent from the original rom

New gameID arfter its bean patched GameID UORE 8F7BDED4 , this gameID is in infolib.dat

QUOTE(Arkanell @ Mar 27 2010, 08:22 PM) I'm going to break all convention and provide a fix instead of asking for one

http://www.greasy.lovenest.co.uk/DIY_Fix.zip

patch the rom with the included patcher then copy over the included infolib.dat, savelib.dat , and extinfo.dat.

as far as i know this only works on the DSTT.

Very nice work mate , well done!

Question is how did you do it ?

After some investigation, i discovered something:
If you patch the game with certain hex codes (provided of this patch) , you can boot the game fine, without changing the ID, and here i have which hex codes you need to patch.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:

(Blank spaces are no changes in the hex code)

The result is: WarioWare D.I.Y.(U) UORE B95D9EDF (original ID) that can boot fine.
With this info, someone can insert all this, in a extinfo.dat, to make a clean WarioWare DIY playable without any patch.

Nice job

My 8yo son will love this patch as he prefers the DSTT over the Acekard.

Nice work how did you work thiat out ?

Anyway this is what i found out also..

Also they is somethink strange about this patched rom , if you have a LIB folder in the root of your microDS chip , open any new rom you get the boot infomation of the rom , like this UORE_8F7BDED4.LIB

Open it with hex edit

info.jpg

Fined the boot info in colour on the photo

You will also fined a infolib.dat.bak is now created in TTMenu folder

What has this rom done ?

This can be put into infolib.dat

Ok, I'm using R4 + YSMenu (latest TTMenu unofficial firmware, R4: 1.18 official) and I got this error:

QUOTE said:
make indextab...disk errcode=-214783632
system halt!

I'm using those 3 files + patched rom.

Someone can help me?

Only use the new infolib.dat, the other two (extinfo.dat,savlib.dat) can be the old ones, not from the first post

Very nice work mate !!!, how did you work this out ?

Back later

Maybe that lib is another thing.
As i said, with all the info that i posted, i'm able to play the game without changing the ID.

Try to add the info in a extinfo.dat to play the game without any patch.

Ok , but you can edit extinfo.dat with this tool easy , just open your extinfo.dat with the program

Extinfo.dat , infolib.dat , savlib.dat Edtor http://filetrip.net/f9925-DSTT-File-Editor-beta-1.html

I see the patern of your infomation , but im not having the time at the moment , will give it a bash later!

Chears mate

PS: could you get info like that from over roms and how ?, thanks..

Ok was the rom already patched before you patched it a 2nd time?
And also, this is what you should have:
New infolib.dat (from the extracted folder)
The extinfo.dat you were originally using
the savlib.dat you were originally using

Well... Found the source of the error code. It was a "patched" rom that I had downloaded.

Now... I got blackscreen when YSMenu finishes loading! Horray x_x/

No, I believe the patch is made so that the game works.

I think if the extinfo was updated with an AP code, this patch would not be needed, however the savlib and infolib would.

A new extinfo.dat is out about this game,
so it why im asking about it

I don't understand can someone tell me EXACTLY what i have to do to make it work on r4 with ysmenu?

P.S i have ysmenu but there isn't a ttmenu folder or something!

@benno300
make YSMenu again

also,if someone knows AR code making(as in really good),you might be able to put this into extinfo.dat
