It seems like the facebook app was taken down because you could run unsigned code with it.
Save your ass Sony, they are out to get you!
Good they caught on to it early.
Imagine how many trolls would start going "SONY FAILED WITH THE VITA! OMGZ," if it got out and they weren't able to fix it
Isn't this a bad thing, not being able to run unsigned code?
For hacking yes. And it depends on your point of view, really, either as someone who wants more benefits from the Vita [bad], or as Sony's developers [good] xD
I didn't get to download this because it's not out in the japanese SEN Store yet
Inb4 SCEA v. Hotz The Sequel: SCEA v. *insert hacker here*
Still got the app on mine not used it though.
Inb4 exploits start popping up and tricks to install the app even though its taken down.
maybe geohot codes this fine pice of software
WHERES MY FREE PSVITA GAMES?????????
Glad they caught it in time and took it down. While I'm sure there are people that have downloaded it, I don't think it will cause too much trouble for the Vita...
not now atleast but it is a chance for hacker to look deeper in the system do understand the system.
At best a homebrew will come out of it,a CFW with the curent understanding of the vita would be suicide.
Too bad (also good because it's too early) , it would make the ultimate emulation console. N64 games on the go...
Hackers will probably wait a while before they release a hack when they find a system loophole, so a good game library builds up first.
All PS Vita Hackers waiting...........
Ever heard of an Android? Connect a PS3 controller or a Wiimote + Classic Controller via bluetooth, and you've got yourself a mobile game device for N64 and PSX. Though I will admit that having built-in controls would be much nicer.
Yeah, plus it plays vita games.
And quite possibly even PS2, if it's powerful enough!
Wow, why doesn't this surprise me? -_-
