I just tried to update the emunand on a friend's yoshi 3dsxl, 9.0.0-20e and upon selecting the system update, the console said applying update, restarting now... wich would take me back to the sysnand? Nintendo knew what was up or what is happening here?

It's not the first time i've done an emunand update but I don't recall seeing this happen before?
If this is the case, is there another way of doing the update?

When it restarts it does go to sysnand, but it's the emunand that was updated. You just boot into GW mode again and it should be updated.

This is before the actual updating process starts. not after I am talking about. That's why I'm worried :)

It could have been updating a title that needed a restart to update or something. Just try it again, but make sure you're in EMUNand. Unless Nintendo found a way to break out of EMUNand while updating, you'll be safe.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
