Well, right now, the one big thing it has over my app, is the anti-aliasing, which is being worked on, but one of the huge advantages of mine, at least with the update that is about to come out, is that you can save and load high quality lossless quality PNG files to and from the SD Card, instead of just sharing on Mii Verse. My girlfriend prefers Art Academy Atelier (which is like a wet dream if you can draw) but for my drawing skills U paint is perfect.
How are you handling export to PNG file?Well, right now, the one big thing it has over my app, is the anti-aliasing, which is being worked on, but one of the huge advantages of mine, at least with the update that is about to come out, is that you can save and load high quality lossless quality PNG files to and from the SD Card, instead of just sharing on Mii Verse.
The load and save menu will have six thumbnails on each page, which you can scroll through with the D-PAD. Initially, it will only have 12 load and save slots, which should be plenty to start with, but that may increase later, and you may even be able to name all of your files, but for now it will read any PNG files that are named correctly in the U-Paint pictures folder. It will be able to load any PNG, even indexed ones, but will always save to full color PNGs. It will be able to load PNGs that use full transparency as well, all the transparent areas will be skipped when rendering.Just hooked this up to a TV for the first time. I didn't realize that you can use the TV to view the full canvas while zooming in on the gamepad.

It saves and loads pictures to and from SD as well (but in shitty quality ), has many different pens but the most epic feature is the drawing recording.Well, right now, the one big thing it has over my app, is the anti-aliasing, which is being worked on, but one of the huge advantages of mine, at least with the update that is about to come out, is that you can save and load high quality lossless quality PNG files to and from the SD Card, instead of just sharing on Mii Verse.
Thanks, glad your kids are really enjoying it.Seriously bri , impressive work , with tons of effort to get it here... well worth it too , my kids last night ran through all its features and came up with some pretty cool stuff , i urge people to post up their drawings here so people can really see whats possible.... again amazing work fella..
Yeah... every day ticks onward without a board just for Wii U Homebrew development (which the 3DS section has...)And since they still haven't made a section dedicated to just Homebrew, all of the good new Homebrew that is getting updated for the Homebrew Launcher, or even completely new releases, are all quickly drowned out by Loadiine and modding. Since @vgmoose's new project is pretty close to a big release, hopefully finding out about all the new Homebrew will become easier for those that are interested in it.
I think it's time honestly.Beautiful stuff as always, wish I were a better artist Let me play around a bit though and see if I can produce something presentable.
There must surely be artists out there who are willing to give this tool another spin.

I really wish some people that were good artists would try it out and post some results.Beautiful stuff as always, wish I were a better artist Let me play around a bit though and see if I can produce something presentable.

I think it's been time for a while now. I'll never understand all the negativity towards homebrew on the Wii U. So you have to perform one or two more clicks to load HBL than if it was installed in the NAND, big deal. I wish more people were supportive like you.I think it's time honestly.
I could get my little sibling to test it out!I really wish some people that were good artists would try it out and post some results.
Omg it would be so cool if @brienj included a percentage on how far it is zoomed in! Like a little circle in the corner of the dpad!Just hooked this up to a TV for the first time. I didn't realize that you can use the TV to view the full canvas while zooming in on the gamepad.

There is only two levels of zoom, in and out. When zoomed in, the DRC and TV resolution are matched, meaning that you can see 854x480 of the TV on the gamepad when the menu is closed. When zoomed out, you can see the whole TV on the DRC, but the resolution isn't as good when drawing, since what you draw is increased by 1 1/2 times to fit the TV screen. It's best to zoom out for stuff that doesn't require great accuracy, and then zoom in for finer detail.Omg it would be so cool if @brienj included a percentage on how far it is zoomed in! 1. I don't understand what you mean by this. If it's drawing in the wrong location, have you tried calibrating your touchpad in the system settings? I've never had anyone say the drawing was very far off, if at all. Here are some of the things me and my sibling found:
1. Sometimes while drawing in a specific place, it'll draw in a completely opposite side
2. Could you change the brush so instead of drawing a million dots, it'll draw a straight line?
3. Sometimes it freezes and softlocks (the only thing you can do is hear music and exit to the homebrew launcher) it some of the menus
4. Could the manual animation be a bit smoother?
5. Possible animation fixes and UI fixes to be smoother?
Thank you so much for this app! It's really making my sibling and I really happy! You are great!!!
Smooth as donkey diarrhea.Never had any freezing issues when I tested. It was as smooth as butter.
