The game have a TERRIBLE framerate in the latest build that where showed... wouldn't be THAT surprising...
I've seen the drops. Probably around the low 20s at most. But never too low that it's that unbearable...
just watch and compare the gameplay on jimmy fallon and WiiU latest build showed on Nintendo's channel :

. The gap is so big...

Unfortunately.... That's a shame for the Wii U owner.
I don't care, i'll buy the Wii U version, Nintendo have postponed the game just for the switch, that's inadmissible, that's why i will boycott the switch version :-p

For me, it's gonna be a download for WiiU to try it, not even finish it i think, and a Switch + Botw buy.

I bet Nintendo will release Zelda Breath of the Wild switch version Before the wii u version (like Zelda TP, in the past). So, you will try the game directly on the switch XD
That'll only work for new buyers than already current owners.

The footage here was streamed tho, it's probably not that bad if you actually play it.

i would believe that if early gameplay builds didnt already showed framedrops in action scenes, plus, look at the smoothness of the menu when he hit start.
Might be because animations and instances out of the view are temporarly deactivated when you go into the menu. A lot of games do that to prevent stuttering and input lag in menus.
Don't take my word for that though.

And even if the final version of the game runs like that, it looks playable. So it's not that big of a issue for me at least.
Could be worse, right?

Well... i really "can't" play MM/OoT on locked low FPS now... So originals are really strange to play now for me compared to 3DS port for exemple... we where running N64 games at 20fps, and now on 2016 we have to play with 25 ? comeon... :/

Uh, my comment was towards the other guy who commented about The Last Guardian.

And game development can show different things from trailers to release. Like how FFXV had terrible fps from demos, but upon release it was mostly stable. Optimizations usually occur around near the end of development, anyway. So, I'm still not worried for Breath of the Wild on Wii U.

While I'm not equating any of my apps with a real game, that's usually how I approach coding. The first time to do is get some that works, then sort out the bugs. Most of my updates are performance related. I'll throw in a small addition if I can though, because nobody wants to download something again just for "improved performance".

Sometimes I'll code something in, but wait to integrate it until I've got a performance update to accompany it.

I'm sceptical, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being the case. At any rate, I'd say people are justified in having very little trust or faith placed in Nintendo at the moment.

I think people are going to be really disappointed when they finally play this Zelda. Nothing I've seen has made me go "wow that's really new and exciting!" Everything just looks the same old zelda formula in a big empty grassland.

People seem to have this "the next time it will be great" attitude when it comes to nintendo. But the "next time" inevitably is always a disappointment and the cycle continues.

Can't say I'm hyped for Zelda:BotW because I'm not but I do want to own a WiiU copy of it as a collectible game and heck, it's Zelda.

I like how people are expecting a 60 fps 3d main console Zelda game

Twilight Princess HD was 30fps and I was perfectly fine with it. The only thing that ever annoyed me was getting ahold of controlling the horse properly.

Wind Waker HD as well as the 3D remakes of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are 30 fps and they work perfectly. A 60fps Zelda game that isn't a top down perspective one is just unnatural.
And yeah they kinda botched the horseback handing on the HD version of Tp but it gets easier when you learn to use the right stick for steering instead of the left one.
