A wuhb app that allows you -from a list- to launch any vWii homebrew that is in your apps folder (similar to hbl2hbc but this time the app itself reads what's in your sd card so no need to make config files) with options like: resolution modes, output TV/Gamepad/Both, setting gamepad as a controller (if the selected homebrew allows it) and overclocking automatically (if the selected homebrew allows it).

Perfect dark was decompiled recently, similar to oot or sm64. I am really looking forward to see the same love for perfect dark

This message was posted almost a year ago, but recently we were witness of the first release of the port for the pc. Is there a chance that we'll get this fantastic port on the Wii U as well?:yayu:

Some form of app/channel that opens Gamebannana or some form of it where you can directly download mods straight to the sdcaffine folder for a certain game.

And also maybe a gamepad volume booster for headphones?

Maybe a port of Citra for the Wii U? I seen the retroarch version of Citra is based on OpenGL 3.3, and GX2, the Wii U's API, is based on OpenGL 3.3 too, so i thought there are chances but i'm not sure.

Doesn't quite have all the features, but a Homebrew called WiiVC Launch has most of them

I know we already have br by V10lator, and it's great (it inverts the x and y axis on the right joystick). I would really like a fork of this which only inverts the y-axis. It's this possible? It would be a lifesaver (on Wind waker for one!!!).

impossible as the 3DS doesn't have 5ghz wi-fi, so streaming video from the Wii U to the 3DS quick enough is impossible.
Streaming smooth video it's not neccesary in a lot of games. Just the console thinking the 3DS is the gamepad and accepting it as a main controller. Maybe just for the new 3ds, bc the inputs buttons are similar to the gamepad ones.

Again, this would require 5GHz Wi-Fi on the 3DS's end, OR a very special plugin on the Wii U to make it use the 2.4GHz band for gamepad communication.

@jeffyTheHomebrewer I might be wrong but AFAIK it had been tried the other way around: Streaming the 3DS screen to the Wii U via WiFi / LAN. The conclusion was that the 3DS WiFi is too slow even for the low resolution of the 3DS with heavy compression.

So @Anikemi in theory it might be possibe to do all that over (W)LAN but you won't get happy with it.

Yeah. It feels like at most we could get input streaming, and even then, how would the touchscreen be mapped properly?
It honest to god feels like it'd be easier to get a PS Vita to work as a replacement gamepad (has dual sticks, a user-facing camera, and ZL/ZR could just be mapped to the rear touchpad) with a USB accessory to give it 5Ghz Wi-Fi. If not connect to the console directly with a USB cable..

How about a game like "Overcooked".
Really love this game with friends. There are several party games on the Wii U, but imo Overcooked will make the collection complete.

Hello,

I think about an update to the Wii Fit Meter which show us directly how many meters we made on the day... An others things like this... I don't think it's possible to make a remote tv with the Wii Fit Meter or put games on the Wii Fit Meter

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
