Team-Xecuter Releases SX OS v1.4

TX Releases Another Update To Their SX OS, with lots of nice improvements in v1.4

We have not heard from TX for a while, but don't worry, they back with nice new update to their SX OS, check out v1.4 below:

SX OS v1.4 Announcement
Good day, loyal users!

While we chip away at many different features for SX OS and additions to our SX hardware family we took a break to prepare an update for SX OS with some exciting new functionality and outstanding bug fixes.

Let's have a look at what's new and fixed in this release:
  • Integrated NSP installer
With our last update we introduced the possibility of installing eShop NSP titles. However, this relied on using external tools and wasn't very user friendly. In this release we bring our own integrated NSP installer as part of our menu system. This is the neatest and easiest way of installing NSP titles, enjoy!
  • Integrated homebrew launcher
Launching homebrew used to be done by launching NX HBMenu by holding R when entering the album. While we kept this possibility (mostly for developers), you can now also launch your favorite homebrew directly from our own menu!
  • IR / motion plus issue fixed
A few games (like 1-2-Switch and Resident Evil) were suffering from freezes when enabling the joycon IR camera or motion controls.
  • Allow unsigned NCA
People asked us if we could get rid of the NCA integrity checks, so we did! Custom NCA files, modified NCA files and repackaged NCA files should all work fine now.
  • Display SX OS version in menu
To better distinguish the different versions of SX OS we introduced a small version number display in our menu.
  • LayeredFS fixes for 4.1.0
There were certain issues with 'LayeredFS' for people on firmware 4.1.0. If you use 'LayeredFS' on that specific firmware there's good news for you: these issues have been identified and fixed!
And that's that for this release. We have quite the backlog of feature requests and todo's on our plate, but trust we'll get there!

I dont agree on nsp delete just incase you want to keep file for later incase you need space if you delete the content from switch
Yeah sure, but its still a good feature to have for most users, just make sure you can turn it off or get a confirmation button

Anyone get banned after you try to install a NSP game? thanks
So far i've only installed updates through NSP's with SX OS. I hope that doesn't get me banned but seeing how the update process for cartridges is completely different from the eshop game download process i have some hopes, but we'll see. I'm still not installing NSP games and will not be going online with the Switch any time soon.

I'm having an issue on sx os 1.4, while I'm playing an installed nsp game, I try to go into sx menu (without closing the game), the switch freezes on a black screen, have to turn it off, any body experiencing this issue? If I close the game, I can go into the menu without a problem.

Thanks, but ... how about install NSP via TX's OS 1.4?
I doubt it'll be any different. Except for the fact its ran off tinfoil. I think I got banned because I accidentally went online in the hub world whilst I had the DLC installed (with a legit cart). And yes I'm talking about Octo Expansion. So yeah no difference in that regard. Just disable error reporting and stay offline and you should hopefully be ok.

but you can still use nxfreeshop while being banned correct?

No. If you are banned, you cannot use FreeShopNX. And since your system certificate is banned, it renders FreeShop NX useless as you cannot specify it to use an unbanned certificate. You can however, use CDNSP and specify an unbanned certificate. Then install the nsp.

Has anybody tried installing a homebrew app from TX's homebrew menu yet? I see you can press "L" to install the homebrew to your main menu as an icon but I'm not sure it's a good idea with Ninti's banning wave I think this may flag a ban and I'm not 100% sure.

You can specify a certificate for FreeShopNX so your cert won't get banned.

"L" and "R" are to navigate between screens. "A" launches the NRO that is on your sd card.

Correct. You can use nsp updates and dlc with XCI files.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If you look on the homebrew menu it says L to install have a look.
It says "L" to navigate to the Install Page to Install NSP Files.
