The dump produced by SX OS should be compatible with Hekate. And with SX OS, you can use either file or partition based but if you're super paranoid, you can use the partition method. SX OS can create emuNAND for you without the need for external tools.Hi,
I'm new to switch hacking and just got an sxos pro dongle.
My first action was to create a nand backup from the sxos interface.
Then, after activating the sxos licence, i booted the custom firmeware to confirm that it works.
After a few readings i now understand a few things:
- booting with a CFW has somehow tainted my nand (i guess by creating logs traceable by Ninendo..)
- i can avoid this by creating an emunand
- to restore a clean nand i need to restore my nand backup
- i should have created a nand backup with hekate which is more reliable than the sxos one
I have a few questions :
- is a nand backup done with sxos restorable with hekate ?
- if not, is the sxos restore procedure "safe" ?
- which emunand format should i choose (hidden parition file vs file), and which tool should i use to create one that will be "sxos" compatible ?
many many thanks
You remove the sysNAND CFW launch entry.Hey guys, I just want to know how to remove cfw sysnand icon from hekate launch button. I searched and I found that you make it in hekate_ipl.ini but once I open the .ini I don´t know what to delete there. Anybody knows?
Yeah, but what exactly is the line I should remove there? I don´t want to screw things. The dump produced by SX OS should be compatible with Hekate. You should probably read the GitHub page as it explains what the Hekate_ipl.ini file contains.Yeah, but what exactly is the line I should remove there? I don´t want to screw things.
Thanks, man, but I can´t find it.You should probably read the GitHub page as it explains what the Hekate_ipl.ini file contains.

Hekate can read split backup files but if it doesn't read the ones produced by SX OS, you may need to merge them into one file. And a partition based emuMMC is compatible with all CFW. On the other hand, SX OS is the only CFW that can effectively utilize file based emuMMC.Thanks for the reply.
A few more questions :
-> The files produced by an sxos backup (BOOT0, BOOT1, full.0x.bin files from 1 to 7) and hekate backup (BOOT0, BOOT1, rawnand.bin) are not the same. do i need a conversion tool, or i can concatanate full.0x.bin files to produce a rawnand.bin ?
-> By choosing a partition emuNAND, will it be compatible with other CFW like atmosphere ?

Done it! Thanks, man!The entry for Sysnand will look something like this
Just keep a backup of the file and if you mess up restore it and try again
1) Download the DLC as NSP and install it.I am still a newbie and have a few questions. I got a 2nd switch, wanting to use one for legit and one for CFW. (I am doing this for pokemon sword and shield only and not going to pirate games) I will be using SX OS and have goldleaf for my save file edit. First question is how do I download the DLC in emuNAND? - I know this will be important when the expansions arrive later this year. Second question is, and it may be dumb, but will I be able to link trade without going online? I haven't tried it before as I haven't had two of the same game systems until now. Third question is, if I can't do any downloading in emuNAND, how do I get my progress transferred to OFW so I can take advantage of the DLC, Home, and expansions when they come?
You have downloaded the sigpatches for 9.1.0 which are mentioned in the Kosmos 15.1 release?Okay so heres my issue. Yesterday I decided to update from 8.1 to 9.1 and it went smoothly using ChoiDujourNX. I then used kosmos 15.1 to get atmosphere 0.10.2, but when i tried to install an nsp in goldleaf it gave me an error. For some reason I deleted everything in the sd card on my pc don't ask me why I did I don't even know and now my switch is stuck in autorcm. I've tried everything and now im on here asking for help.
1) Download the DLC as NSP and install it.
2) I think you can trade offline too.
3) You can't transfer to OFW (I guess you use it for online) and keep it clean without the risk of ban.
