Hi everyone!
I've ported Sonic R to the Nintendo Switch!
This is a native Switch port based on jnmartin84's open-source Sonic R reimplementation, which recreates the 1998 PC version of the game in portable C.
The game is running natively under Horizon OS using SDL2 and a GLES compatibility layer, with Switch controls, audio, saves and multiplayer support.
You can either host on the Switch and join from PC, or host on PC and join from the Switch.
The Switch version also has a Direct IP option. This means it can connect to a PC host over the internet as well, provided the PC is reachable on UDP port 7847.
The Switch itself does not currently support the upstream matchmaking service, so full native matchmaking is not available yet.

You must provide your own legally owned Sonic R game data.
The required folders and full installation instructions are available in the GitHub README.

And of course thanks to everyone involved with devkitPro, libnx, SDL2, Mesa and the Nintendo Switch homebrew community.
You must legally own Sonic R and supply the original game assets yourself.
This project is not affiliated with SEGA, Traveller's Tales or Nintendo.
Hope you enjoy it!
