i mean like i can use a micro sd in an sd card slot
Any will do…there’s no real performance boost. They typically throw them in for free with a new micro sd card…hit up Amazon and buy a New micro sd card for backups and get the free SD card adaptor.

My Switch is bricked, won't charge, won't power on. I took it in for repair and was told there was a problem with eMMC so there is nothing actually stopping the Switch charging but it can't read the incoming charge (if that's right?) but because the fault is in a proprietary part there's nothing they could do to repair it. If I want to repair it myself how should I proceed?

Sorry, this must be an extreme noob question!

You can pick up a new emmc card for dirt cheap and create a new image for it but it will have fake crypto on it so it will never be able to connect to Nintendo Online services.

or for faster shipping for a bit more cost…

Thanks for your response

Yes that's fine by me, if the switch is old and bricked anyway I figure I may as well try to save it and learn something about cfw.

- I don't have the prod.keys but if I read that right, I can just take them from the dead switch's SD card?
- does the repair process stop the donor switch connecting to online?

Thanks again :)

that’s the spirit!

I’m pretty sure you will get that from your switch itself.

No need. There are ways around a donor. You don’t want to risk getting them banned down the road.
Thanks again :)

You bet. Enjoy your adventure!

Hi, i have a question

Ive been trying to install Smash on CFW (atmosphere and sigpatches up to date, sd card on FAT32) but i always get corrupted data and error 2002-4153.

Ive downloaded and installed smash from like 5 different sources, uninstalled tickets before installing again, using another installer, and even trying to install in another switch with a different sd and nothing.

Worst thing is that ive actually installed smash on my switch before and it worked great, then i uninstalled it cause i needed space for starlink, played it, then everything started when i tried to install smash again.

So my question is for god: Why?

I’m not g_d however I did play Jesus for a church Easter play when I was a kid so partial credit?

Have you tried removing your game save data (and heck…the game itself) via Data Management?

e: might want to try booting up Hekate and running “Fix Archive Bit”

Yeah, partial credit where it's due

i did remove game save data via data management but i always uninstalled the game itself via tinfoil, ill have to try that. As for Hekate, ive tried running fix archive bit, but it doesnt seem to do anything, should i run it before or after searching for corrupt data? or even before installing the game itself?

Ps: this only happens with smash, all other games run fine, its crazy

Get to zero first…remove the game itself via Data Management, then remove the game saves the same way. I suppose you could run fix bit again and then try the install.

That’s about as clean as you can get before we have to start looking at sd card issues.

If it still has issues leave it as is and see if you can install another game of similar size.

If that doesnt work we’ll need to destructively check the card for corruption with h2testw. This will require a format, so backup any data before you run the full test.

Is it possible to go back with the official update? I updated my CFW to the lastest version and also the FW to the latest and now my eeekit wireless pro controller cannot pair with the Switch anymore.

Sure is possible. You can do it via daybreak.nro again. Just acquire a lower version that works with your controllers and do the same thing.

e2: no chance yiu can update the firmware on your controllers?

e: You won’t be able to roll back your Sysnand with official Ninty servers…if that’s what you are asking. You will need to boot CFW and use daybreak to roll back. CFW running on Sysnand on its own is not reason for a ban that we know of. Neither is homebrew installed on Sysnand. Most bans are for piracy and cheating.
