Well, now we don't have to be jealous of Japan and Europe anymore, as Nintendo of America has finally revealed that the Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition bundle is coming to North America.

The Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition will be available in limited numbers for $29.99 on December 12th. The bundle will include a disc with Super Mario All-Stars (the Super NES game that featured Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels redone in 16-bit art), as well as a soundtrack CD and an illustrated booklet.

The soundtrack disc will feature music and sound effects from every game considered part of the Super Mario franchise. [/p]

Cool, although I'll be pirating the European version long before this comes out, odds are.

Or just use an emulator or play the GBA remakes.

If it were something a la Sonic Mega Collection then it would be interesting.
Heck, Nintendo could put the rare anime series and comic as a bonus.

Sweet! I am so getting this off of the net' (You all know what I mean by that, it is something that beings with the letter "T") December 12th though? I guess the ISO file will be small though (considering how other people have been saying that it is the same thing as SMAS for the SNES.)

If what other people have been saying is true, then that is a huge letdown! I was hoping for the games to be remade in 2.5D or something!

Nothing has ChangedOpinions.QUOTE(TM2-Megatron @ Oct 29 2010, 06:25 PM) Also, what's the soundtrack CD like? Does it have all the music from SMB1-3, or only selected tracks?
If what I downloaded is right, the disc includes

Does this have a new control scheme?
I asked in the Japanese release thread, but nobody seemed to care.
Yup! You can play all games with a Wii Remote, Classic Controller or NGC Controller.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
