I'm having a rather strange issue. On my DSi XL, running an EZFlash Vi, I have a "ghosting" effect on the top screen. My wife and mother play Picross3D on it a lot. And I mean a LOT. They leave it in sleep mode pretty often too. (I'm usually watching TV with my kids or playing something on the PS3 when this happens.) When I go to use my DSi, and I load a different game (doesn't matter what), the top screen from Picross3D is very faintly seen still on the screen. It seems to overshadow the top screen in whatever it is I play. Sometimes its bothersome, and other times it is only barely seen, but it is definitely still there. Strange thing is that if Picross3D isn't loaded for a while (like a few days or so), it clears up. It just recently happened again (my mother this time) and I'm starting to get concerned. The first time it happened I opened a repair issue with Nintendo because I thought that it was a burnt-in thing. Then it cleared up on its own.

Any idea what's going on here? Is it caused by my Flash Cart, something with the DSi screen anyway, or something else entirely?

Oh, that sounds... bad.

That shouldn't be a flashcart issue. Unless...

Try running a game of Picross3D, then a legit game after the "burn in" takes place. It COULD be flashcart artifacts, but I never heard of that ever happening. I don't even think it's possible.

I don't think it's possible either. It might be that something is wrong with your EZ Flash Vi. Possibly. Maybe it is not fully in when put in the cartridge slot. Either that or the XL is starting to have a hard time reading it. Try blowing in the cartridge slot or something that way if there is gathering dust or something like that forming then that will clear up. The Vi might have been scratched or something causing this too. I am not sure right now. I am grabbing an XL of my own tomorrow hopefully if all goes well.

The only retail thing I had was the old demo of Prime Hunters (yeah, I know. OLD). The ghosting the screen has seemed to dissipate (even before I tried the game), but when I press the power button for a quick reset, the Picross3D top screen is still seen briefly.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
