Currently, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy are Square Enix’s three pillars. President Yoichi Wada wants to expand this number to eight.

There are two to three titles currently under development that Wada believes can follow in the footsteps of Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. These potential flagship games are expected to come out around the end of next year or early 2011.

Wada’s goal is to have eight IPs which can rack up two million units sold with each release. Since the average development time is two years, Square Enix could release a flagship title every quarter.

However, these eight games may not be traditional “Square Enix” titles. Square Enix also owns Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Batman: Arkham Asylum from their merger with Eidos. And Arkham Asylum just sold two million copies.

TWEWY 2 would be epic fail that will sell like 5 million copys, it would rune the first 1, but I guess it will still be done :/ .

Maybe a psp version or may be a wii 1 could be made, they would be cool.

Hitman 5 has been announced a couple of months ago, just that they were working on it, nothing more.
I can see them doing something with Tomb Raider too.
And yeah, TWEWY 2 is another certitude.

Well, TWEWY isn't a franchise yet since it's only one game. Final Fantasy wasn't exactly supposed to be a franchise either after the first game and look how that turned out lol.

I'd rather they start production on another ogre battle/tactics game, cuz ogre battle 64 was one of the best tactics game I've ever played.

neways so your saying that TWEWY isnt a franchise so theres a good chance that its getting a sequel? And there are at least 2 more coming? that would be awesome.
